I do give up on games when the team is dead and done before it is over. Enthusiasm is great, but sometimes you have to let it go after clenching your jaw for a few hours.
So you are giving up before the game starts?? What a true fan you are!!! Never count us out

Nothing wrong with a little good ol' fashioned gameday pep rally rah-rah, I guess.

I get sick of these accusations by some on here that your not a true Vol fan if you don't watch the games when the team is down which is total BS. A fan can have stds and when the team cannot even meet low stds you have a right not to buy tickets or not watch on TV. I AM A VOL FAN, period whether I watch them or not.
............nobody?.....lol

I am sick and tired of getting on here with some of you "fans" saying we are gonna get destroyed by bama!! Yeah, we are not as talented but if you have no faith in your team then why even watch the game. I have thought we were gonna beat florida, georgia, and alabama every year. You know why?????You believe in your team no matter what. We gotta stop feeling sorry for ourselves and i think in time Pruitt will get it done for us. I want the Harrison Bailey era to start now and even if we do
lose we will be a force soon enough
You could’ve just said, “I still believe in Santa Claus” and it would have been the same message.

Realistic expectations matter.

I'm only watching to see JG get benched. Thats the most excitement the offense can offer.

If we all care hard enough and believe hard enough, anything is possible!

All I'm going to say is that even though we can be a fickle bunch sometimes, we all care about this program deeply. It's easy to root for a team that you know will 99% of the time not only win but dominate, but it takes a special group to stick with your team through the tough times. I don't question anyone's loyalty to UT, especially if you've stuck around through this drought of success. All the fairweather fans have been weeded out at this point, so the only ones left are the die-hards. I want Tennessee to win every time, but I'm not going to fool myself and then get disappointed. That's just far too much heartache to deal with. I honestly feel like not only our fanbase, but all of college football wants us to be backand relevant, because it's way more fun for everyone involved for games to feel like it could go either way. Beating us is no longer an accomplishment or something to take pride in. I'm sick of the Alabama/Georgia show. It's so boring feeling like they are unchallenged at the top. I'm sure their fans get bored too. I'll get off my soapbox now, but the SEC is much better and fun to watch when we are competitive and a legitimate threat and everyone (whether they admit it or not) knows that. It makes the games feel more important.
