We can still view the world that way if we don’t focus too much on politics or worrying about what others think of us. Social media has not been our friend in either regard unfortunately.

Only if you ignore reality, and the danger your nation is in. No, naivity isn't a realistic option for anyone who gives a damn about their family, or community. Even on my worst day I viewed the world far better before 2018 or so then I can now.....I never imagined how evil many could willing be. So many, particularly here underestimated what was going on, and particularly underestimated the evil afoot in DC.
