It's not that he just hasn't stopped it, it's that he's upped it. He's been very tough on all forms of immigration, not just illegal immigration, exacerbating the problems at the border and in these detention centers. He's also the one in charge at the moment. The finger is rightly mostly pointed at him.

If you have a problem with what's going on with children at the detention centers, then call Trump and Obama out. Your response shouldn't be "but Obama". If it's bad, it's bad.

I don't disagree that statement as you intended it. I do disagree that the left will not acknowledge their previous president created the issue and wholesale blames Trump for it when he had absolutely nothing to do with its origins. He did inherent it, and hasn't fixed it. But, it's not squarely on him. that's just leftist agenda to an ignorant population.
