Here are the things that I wish everyone on this wonderful forum would resolve to do, which would make everyone's viewing pleasure better:

1) If you are addressing a particular poster, post as if you are having a face to face conversation with them. People are much more brave and rude when they are hiding behind a keyboard. A little friendly banter is ok, but let's stop trying to eat our own here. Now, having said that it is perfectly acceptable to call a Gator or Bama fan an idiot, moron, ect. :)

2) For Gods sake please stop throwing our own players under the bus. Saying player X is better than player Y is just fine. Pointing out a players struggles is perfectly acceptable as well, but sometimes this gets to the point of being very insulting. Just doesn't make sense to me.

3) Everybody just remain calm. Humans are emotional creatures. At the first hint of negative news this forum can go into meltdown mode. Just relax, suck it up, and know that there will always be Tennessee football. Try to refrain from jumping to so many conclusions and latching onto every internet rumor that you hear.

Feel free to give your own resolutions. It's going to be a great season ladies and gents. I look for the Vols to go 11 - 1 and have a chance at the play-offs....so long as we stay healthy. Gonna be a fun ride!!

GO VOLS!!!

That is an excellent set of resolutions, Norris.

#3 will not survive the day.

But I wish all three of them luck, and will do my part. :good!:

Go Vols!

My advice. Don't log on during games. Too many overemotional drunks

My resolution is not to be a total Richard to my next door gator fan neighbor when UT ends The Streak this season. I've listened to his obnoxious crap for the last 4 years since I've lived there, but I will be the bigger man once the shoe is on the other foot after we win this season.

Nah...I'm lying. He can expect no mercy.

For some people, message boards are their one outlet where they can vent, where maybe everything else in their lives is falling apart. I mean, I'm sure some people are just jerks, but taking that approach over the years has caused me to just relax a little before getting too upset over what another poster has said. Your resolutions are a wonderful concept though of course.

"I will give my all for Tennessee today!". When we as fans embody that notion and endeavor to do the same we help our Volunteers in ways unmeasurable. Be the change you wish to see in VolNation.
