100 - 106 are actually the VT sections, but there will be many Vols sitting there also.

What kind of ride is he sporting?

I heard t'ings about his setup being the best.

What kind of libations can we bring as offerings to this tailgating oracle?

I wasn't sure who was setting up in YELLOW LOT. I guess it is BigOrange. What have you heard about his setup? What do we need to bring, besides alcohol and food? LOL Where will the YELLOW LOT be located? Is it covered in case of rain? Will there be tvs there to watch UT vs Memphis basketball game there?

Thanks!!! I thought VT is 100 to 120 and UT is 121 to 140. I am sure the Vol Fans in the 100-105 area are the ones that bought on the VT site. I appreciate the info. I am looking to buy lowers at the game. If, I don't find some at a good price before the game.

yes sir, I'll be in the yellow lot...at least that's the plan, I won't know for certain until I'm parked, but I'll update the thread as soon as I know.

I'll be in a silver F150, donned with quite a bit of fanfare.

Unfortunately this will be a scaled down version of our gameday tailgate in Knoxville, as the rest of the crew won't be making the trip. I'll still have a decent setup though, but again not near as big as we do it in Knoxville.

While I appreciate the sentiment and the offer, no need to bring me anything. I'm just a Volunteer that likes to have a great time, and anyone is welcomed to join. Bring your drinks and your grub, and come have a good time!

Bring your food and drink, and come have a good time.

Here's all I'll have:
TV (singular)
stereo
canopy for rain
firepit if its cold
small generator for TV/stereo
grill
a few chairs
couple tables (beer pong anyone?)
cornhole
football/frisbee
great company :)


that's really it, usually we have a few vehicles to bring our tailgate stuff, but I'm the only one from the crew making the trip. we usually supply all you can consume food and drink for a small price, but I just won't have the room to bring it all.

also I'm trying to figure out how to air the bball game, I won't have the dish we usually use, I won't have the generator power to stream from my laptop, and I wasn't able to pick up a slingbox like I had planned. I will have an HD antenna, but the game is on ESPN2 so I don't know if I'll be able to pick it up. anyone have any suggestions? if anyone wants to contribute anything please do, we can lock it up in the truck during the game, I've got a good security system (and a Glock 40) :)

Hey BigOrange, I have a slingbox and can put it on the UT BB game for you if you want. I plan to be at the tailgate.

At least it looks like your kid has good taste, just like mine. Its hard raising them in enemy territory.

Hi...just a n00b here but NOT a newbie Vol fan for sure. Looks like the wife and I will be heading down for the game.

Section 248 and a parking pass for the Red Deck I believe ?

It also appears I'll have 2 extra tickets for the seats next to us since the other couple going is now not able to make it. :crazy:

I was going to post a new thread on this but since I'm new hear I need 20 post it looks like. :yes:

I work in Charlotte, NC and live just north in the Lake Norman area. We'll be heading down Thursday morning and staying in the Buckhead area and probably taking the MARTA subway to the dome. GO VOLS !!

I'll be setting up in the yellow lot as well, hopefully next to bigorange. We have a pretty big group planning on being there and it should get pretty rowdy. I do have a slingbox and will have to game on a 32 in TV I believe.

I will try to make it by the yellow lot with my friends as well. My girl and I are sitting in section 128 I believe. Is there confirmation on the UT vs Memphis game going on at the tailgate? That is very key in our decision on where we will be...

What time is everyone setting up? We're leaving lower south carolina around 9:30 and hopefully checking into the hotel before heading to the fan fest.

Definately gonna make it down for this. I'm coming with a crew of 6. We've been looking forward to this TGP about as much as the game.

Ohiovol and I are tentatively meeting around 8 to secure some spots side by side. I may go back to the hotel for a few after that, but needless to say we'll be there before you.

I plan on updating this thread with the exact location as soon as its determined.

Im thinking we will be there by 3. We want to check out the fanfest as well. maybe fanfest first and then the tailgate up to game time...
