That almost shows invalidity. Did they really have nobody else to quote? If not, why included these without the consent of those who wrote them? Seems a little tabloidish almost. We have the right to be frustrated.
We made it! Officially primary source material for op ed bits in a Chattanooga newspaper. I can't wait to see Guns & Ammo quote volinbham's posts in the My Armory thread or maybe the Wall Street journal could use some of lawgator's material from the Politics forum.
The 10:35 and the 10:36 quotes are from 87Vol. The last quote is from SMGVols. The quote about the Women's basketball team was probably by MEDVOL since he was responding to a basketball quote at the time and he edited his post just about the time this thread was started.
Since the last post from me got removed, why don't you go back and quote me, your reading comprehension is so far off, pal don't understand where ya coming from, if you read that thread i was talking bout Ole Miss fans.. And I'll keep on saying pal to piss you offOh, I read it the night you posted it. Thought it was funny for you to question who can judge bad fans after dedicating a thread to doing just that.
And, what's with all the 'pals', pal?
I think some would say kicking it twice into swirling winds was embarrassing. Or running it up the gut on 3rd and short to no avail more than once when other plays had been more effective.
There are thousands of fans on this website at any given time. They aren't all going to be as civil as one would like especially when it appears we will lose to a USC team that was beaten by both UK and Mizzou and let Vandy score 34. I truly love how it all worked out but let's not over inflate who it was we actually beat or how we actually beat them.
Bingo the positivity the coaches have is the real issue here.. This is what has kept hope alive all season with the team. You can hear CBJ talk bout the positivity in his press conferences after the game and thruout the year. It is a process..I repeat, "won in spite of coaching". The staff that kept the kids in the game, when all looked lost, is given no credit because they had some in game mistakes. Give me a break.
Every coach makes mistakes. And many posters don't know **** about sports and don't even think about giving credit to the staff for keeping teenagers together as adults on here act like freaking idiots. "In spite of"...spoken by somebody that came close to playing a sport by creating their own character on Madden.

Here's a guy with no credentials at all, especially about football, who is the ...guy the mainstream media has chosen to quote and by implication represent all VN. In his highly puffed-up self-vision of analytical abilities on how poorly CBJ is doing, he ignores what everybody else has seen before their eyes. Yeah right. A poorly coached team with third string Dobbs behind center ran that perfect one-minute drill that tied the game and sent it into overtime. They've not been taught a thing, but somehow manage to never give up. Never give up was taught under the last two coaches as well; you know how that turned out. I'm in VN, but please don't link me with the poster whose posting I'm quoting here.:vava:I'm the one who had the first couple of quotes, and I'm more than glad to own them!!! One little miracle comeback due to Dobbs' heroics and USC's pathetic habit of collapsing in the 4th, doesn't change the truth in what I posted. I said Jones was getting schooled by Spurrier and he absolutely was. We won in spite of poor coaching, simply because of Dobbs and a pathetic South Carolina defense, and defensive coordinator.
As for Jones long term, I still don't think he has shown us anything much on the field yet, (he's still only beaten 1 ranked opponent, USC last year) and I'm not convinced he makes the right calls for this program. Sure he can recruit, but coaching is way more than recruiting. It's making the right personnel decisions, developing players, scheming well, managing games well, and inspiring players to overachieve. It's obvious that we should have been playing Dobbs from the get go this year. We would have at least 2 more wins, maybe even 3, and be in the running for the SEC East. Yet he chose to play a concrete statue like Worley, who holds the ball for an eternity, and let this season go down the tubes.
I haven't given up on Jones yet, because he does recruit so well. But, hands down, he definitely needs to improve the other aspects of his coaching.
Yes, but as has been mentioned, every coach at every school at every level of competition deals with the same emotional fans. It's not strange, uncommon or even unexpected.
I find the fans upset at fans getting upset to be the unrealistic ones. If you are not sick and tired of losing you're not a real fan. I love Butch and the direction he has us going, but the play-calling and decisions on the field have been suspect, you can't deny that.
