I thought we should have a place where we can talk about movies we've seen. When you see a movie (new release or not) post your comments in here. That way we'll know wht to watch or not to watch!

Here's two we rented last nite.

Hitch- It was decent I guess, more of a chick flick in my opinion. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 5.

Boogeyman-I've been waiting to see this movie because it's never in and I must admit that I was MAJORLY dissapointed! It seemed like they dragged scene out forever in the movie and it never really made any points..lol...Definatley wasn't what I was expecting. I'd give it a 6.5

RT..that is so weird...I rented both of those last night and was majorly dissappointed it boogeyman..especially since I'm a big horror movie fan. Give it a 4 or 5
Hitch..although a chick flick was pretty good and funny. I liked it. 7

Sadly enough it is.....

I have to say that it's the worst movie that I have seen in a long time....

I liked Be Cool. It's very subtle humor. Have you seen Get Shorty? Maybe that's part of the problem. I think you have to see Get Shorty to really undestand and appreciate Be Cool. Also, the movies both speak to more of the people who are in the music and film industry.

Has anyone seen the new Land of the Dead, Romero zombie flick? Any good?

Yep. I liked Be Cool. But I got a lot of the music industry jokes, too...

Speaking of sports movies, did any of you guys ever see Friday Night Lights? I loved the book, and have been wanting to see that movie. I always forget about it whenever I'm getting movies, though.

The only new movies I've seen recently are Star Wars and Kingdom of Heaven. I loved both of those, of course.

I also recently saw the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I thought it was pretty good, too.

Id just got around to "Coach Carter" last week myself.
Im not a huge BBall fan, but thought it was great!

A huge lesson to be learned by all high school, and if i may, college sports/student athletes.

I agree. Friday Night Lights is an excellent movie. Especially if you're a high school football fan. It doesn't sugar anything. It does a great job of telling the story of high school football how it really is...no frills. I'd recommend to anyone...even if you're not a sports fan.

After all, we get to see the little boy from Slingblade all grown up. :laugh1:

I just saw Carlito's Way starring Al Pacino. What a fantastic movie. It is a gangster-type flick about Pacino playing a Peurto Rican drug peddler who just got out of prison and is trying to make his way off the streets and get clean. I would readily put on a level just, I mean *just* below the likes of Scarface, The Godfather and Goodfellas.

I caught a couple movies this weekend. Took the kids to see Fantastic Four yesterday. Not as good as Spiderman but pretty good...nice action and special effects. Also rented Hide and Seek last night...beginning and middle was a lil slow for me..but the ending was very good.
