I thought everyone had some fun with this last year, so I've decided to do it again.
Same rules as last year apply....but for those new to the fold, here's how this works. 24 of this past year's top titles will face off against each other in a single elimination tournament over the course of the month. Each matchup will consist of a poll for everyone to vote in over a span of 3 days. After those 3 days are up, the game with the most votes advances to the next round. So on and so forth until there's an official VN GOTY winner.
Seeding has been determined by more or less an average of scores through Metacritic. The top 8 seeds will receive "byes" to the second round of the tournament. No sports games or racing games are included, nor are any MMO's or arcade titles (sorry Walking Dead).
For those wanting a sneak peak at the bracket, I've provided an image of it at the bottom. The first half of the round one games will commence tomorrow with a deadline of Wednesday. The second half will start on Monday with a deadline of Thursday.
And last but not least, this tournament is strictly for fun.....so don't take it (or the seeding for that matter) too seriously.
