Vn freedom!

You could very easily be correct but if you disagree with DD telling recruits he is turning the program around that is crazy. Expecting him to say otherwise is as ignorant as many of your post in this thread.

Dooley has no right to tell recruits that he is turning the program around. Thus far, we have moved in the opposite direction under his watch. He certainly can tell them that he wants to turn it around or that he is trying to turn it around, however, the ship is not turning the way he wants it to; therefore, to say anything to the contrary is a lie.

Heres your shot Cecil. Fire those insults and that fine use of sarcasm you like to use!

I don't need to take a shot at LWS, I don't think he's making that up. I just don't think it's as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. I think you're being over-dramatic about it all. Yesterday i asked for links and examples from someone informed on the matter (not you). As stated many times in this thread, there are numerous things other schools could use against us. It's recruiting, that's what happens. There's nothing new there.

Now, your unhealthy man crush on LWS is another story.

Figured you weren't man enough to stand behind your opinion after Larry stated otherwise. As far as my feelings toward Larry I have disagreed with him on certain occasions and will continue to do so if my stance is firm enough to defend unlike yours in this thread.

My opinion is, and has been that its just not a huge deal. That there are tons of other things recruiters can use against Tennessee before they'd have to resort to showing message board comments. I'm sure some use things like locations and weather too. If you're truly concerned about this, start a rally or petition to get Dooley fired. As long as he's the coach and as long as we're losing to the Kentucky's of the world, there are going to be negative things posted on message boards, and There should be. I'm not changing my mind about Dooley just because you're wetting the bed at night worrying about some 17 year old kid. Hope that clears it all up for you. However I have my doubts as you seem to have a one track mind.

Insults and sarcasm from the group yesterday is my issue. Then today when Larry smashes that argument everybody suddenly becomes civil again or disappears. Just a little to hypocritical or spineless for me.

By the way I agree the effect of the message board tactic is minimal just like I said yesterday, but losing one recruit is too many.

Careful, there's a live feed of Volnation set up in a recruit's house right now. What you say next is going to determine whether he comes to Tennessee or not.

Exhibits A in your continual use of Sarcasm when discussing your point!

I would love to know what you thought my opinion on the subject matter was. I never said it wasn't going on. Show me where I said otherwise. You can't. Shut up.

I have stated in numerous threads that I think message board material effect is very minimal. You darn sure did go to a lot of trouble to argue with insults and sarcasm to have the same opinion. Back tracking at its finest!

Oh does sarcasm chase off the recruits too? I'm done talking about this, it's dumb. Have a Merry Christmas. Hopefully a recruit that doesn't celebrate Christmas won't read that and change his mind about going to Tennessee.

Merry Christmas to you as well!(No sarcasm)

Lol. I did get some serious enjoyment from watching those posters run for cover.

You see, here's the thing, nobody has been avoiding your posts or have changed their minds. Nobody is back-peddling or running for the hills. You didn't accomplish anything with your prolific (only in your mind) posts. Patting yourself on the back for something you did in your own mind is just kind of sad. People haven't stopped talking about it because you've "won". People have stopped talking about it because it's dumb. Know the difference.

Their not going to avoid my post but they darn sure are avoiding Larry's. He deserves the pat on the back. I thought we exchanged a heart felt moment. I will try again. Merry Christmas(no sarcasm)

Ok, I think we all agree that Larry knows his stuff. And here is the link to yesterday where he did say that they are printing stuff off message boards. To be honest, that surprised the heck out of me. But with that said, I personally will refrain from posting any more negative material about recruits until they have signed their LOI somewhere.

Here is the link to the discussion that we had last Sunday on Damien Jacobs. I watched his tape and wasn't that impressed. If he was coming out of high school, I would have said that we should take him. As a JUCO, I feel that you should be able to start from Day 1. In his case, maybe he could / maybe he couldn't. I still feel the exact same way I did on Sunday. Damien is a good player. But we have a very full class. I think he was right on the fence. If we end up with McCullers, Mike Davis and Damien Williams as our final three, then we made a smart move in passing on Jacobs. The other extreme, if we end up with three 2*'s from Farragut, then we should have signed Jacobs. I think we all know that we will end up somewhere in the middle.

Bottom line, we did start to push away from Damien Jacons last Sunday. Perhaps the Florida office people copied that, and funneled it to him thru the coaches and that was the deciding factor. I still have a really hard time believing that, but since Larry posted it, I agree that we need to knock it off in the future.

I am glad that we have reached a point in recruiting that Florida is signing our borderline type recruits. That is a very good sign!

For those who want a link, here is the Sunday discussion. My fault...golfballs and I caused Damien Jacobs to go to Florida. lol

your safe. he likely never saw that thread... :dance2:

After reading all these doom and gloom threads bashing Dooley and our Football program, I am convinced that most of these threads are being started by trolls.....

Wish you were correct but doubt you are. I loved my years in Knoxville marred only when leaving the campus/strip and then all the ET's outside the zone. Not much has changed over the years..
