When we go outta state, folks hit me up to talk to them because of my accent all the time. Down here, it is what it is, but anytime someone not from Texas is around and hears me speak, it never fails for someone to ask for a story or some bs.

ya, my frsh yr in college one of my teammates was from indiana and he had these 2 girls come down, and i had by far the biggest country accent on the team, so they kept asking me to say maw and paw. i didn't mind they had nice "assets"

Allrighty boys, Im gonna go pick up some feed, some Lone Star beer, and head to the house. Yall have a great weekend. See everybody on Monday.

Only trying to have some fun.

Nice Behr. I lulzed.

Killed some wood ducks this weekend, got a jeep stuck, emptied a cooler twice, and had a good time with the family. Now if we can get through Christmas and let things settle down before my daughter shows up. I gotta say, this is pretty intense.

back on the grind today. Everyone is just fine at my casa. My duaghter and wife are doing great.

Man I missed a lot. Leach getting canned, the Ags folding up to Jawja, Tebow's final game, the Vols falling to VT, and Kiffin's postgame demeanor.

Tons of reading to do still, but it looks like yall have been busy. Honestly, I have kept up with the bowl games about as good as one can expect. We've been pretty busy.

So, I'll touch on a few things instead of cranking out another thread you guys are tired of talking about.

I hate it that the Vols lost a game that looked verrrrrrry winable. It was kinda sad seeing Eric end on a loss, but nonetheless, Kiffin took em to a bowl in his first year. There's light at the end of the tunnel and the Vols will be fine fellas so dont hang your head.

Leach is got hosed by a punk and a punk dad. I've heard from several folks in the Dallas area that daddy was a punk to his son's coaches throughout his high school playing days. Tech, or more specifically, the AD has had it in for Leach since he got that contract extension last year. Apparently they have not seen eye to eye for a while now, but I'll say this. Like Kansas, Tech will not get anyone any better than what they just fired. Its all garbage and I hope both schools get what they deserve.

Losing to Georgia sucked. Speacial teams sucked. And then Joe Kines retired, which sucks too. The old guy could coach, he just didnt have anything to work with sans, Von Miller. It was very hard to watch the Ags fall to a middle of the road SEC team, but thats life.

Im a little confused about Urban at this juncture. Is he done, or is he coming back? Is he going to be an advisor, or is he hanging it up completely. It seemed like he went all "media darling" about the whole thing. I hope his health improves though, but Im not going to cry if he's outta the picture in Florida. Oh, and who didnt think that they would have a lights out game against Cincy with all that going on? Lastly I'll add, adios Tebow. Thank God for graduations.

Looking ahead, I guess I'll be excited to watch the Frogs tonight. Hopeing to have a beer and relax a bit inbetween playing with my little girl. Hope everyone had an awesome New Year. Its good to be back online.

Thanks for all the well wishes btw.

Hey Man. Seeing your post after Reese was born got me pumped up. We were trying to pick out bedding so we could start painting the room and we didn't find anything we both really liked. I finally told my wife to pick whatever she wanted. I didn't care. I just wanted him to get here. Congrats again.:hi:

Thanks bud. You know, concerning the room stuff, it's really all up to your wife in the end. Dont be mislead though, its still a room in your house so try to remind her to keep that in mind. Reese's room matches the rest of the house pretty well as far as color scheme and decor. Dark furniture, two tone blues, light trim, coordinating cloth accessories,....I sound like a girl right now, but anyhow, the point is, its still a room in the house.

Besides, your baby most likely wont sleep in the "nursery" for the first several months anyway, so you do have time. I still need to install light dimmers switches and get the glider finished. You've got some time. Hell, it might give you something to focus on after they're born, and keep you busy. I have an overwhelming feeling of needing to "do something" all the time. I need a project I guess.

My wife is determined that it is going to be done before he gets here. I told her I didn't mind a pattern but I don't want a theme. We have narrowed it down to 3 or 4. there are 2 that we both like that are the same except for the colors. One is green adn blue and the other is brown and blue. I just told her to pick it and I'll ge the paint and paint it.

Sounds similar to what we went through when we didnt know what we were having. A boys room was going to be "pirates" but alas, Reese's room was not themed per se. Painting is a b-----, but if you can stand it, rock on. I feel for ya though. The designs we choose were too complex for me to create so I hired it done, and the guy is a good friend of the family, so all I was out was the cost of paint. There was no way I could paint a paisley pattern the way he did.

Here are the 2 we decided on. I can handle painting the solid colors but I'll have someone paint the pattern border if we have one. You would think they would have a border for it but they don't.

and theres no border to go with it? That sucks. I guess you could stencil one and maybe alternate colors of the diamonds around. Im with you though, the brown looks a little more masculine.

That's what I was thinking about the brown. I know a girl that could paint the pattern if we wanted to do a border. We had thought about painting the top half one color and the bottom half one color and doing the border kinda like a chair rail.

Installing the chair rail in ours was easy. You and a buddy can knock that out in about an hour, with proper saws. We did just what you were talking about. Lighter blue on bottom, darker on top above the rail, with the pattern/design in the lighter color above. It came out great. Ive heard that by putting the darker of the two colors on top, it makes the room seem bigger, but I cant really tell either way. The main thing is, get it like yall like it the first time, otherwise, you'll be bent over it daily. I know you can always "redo" it, but it just adds stress thats not needed.

Tell your wife thats 3 votes for brown. Lulz.
