I'll say it. I don't believe anything of the negative between Tony and Danny. I'm sure they've never been 100% eye to eye, but I think it's Basilio using this as an opportunity to get eyes and hears on his product.

If you knew all this, you could have been dropping it over the summer. He didn't for a reason.

He’s talked about moving of NIL funds to women’s basketball over the past several weeks. Before this was announced.

I get some don’t like Basilio style, but I don’t question him on this. Tony is a regular on the show. He even calls in on football post game shows on occasion.

I kinda understand ADW wanting the Lady Vols basketball to get back where they should be... People tend to forget the Lady Vols kept this University revelant from the Mid 80's through the early 2000's. Check the trophy case , Lady Vols basketball has put most those trophies in there... Not saying CTV doesn't deserve everything he asked or needs but all Major Sports need to be successful at this University...

This may not be a real tweet but honestly TV seems like one of us…would he really want to move to GVs California?!?! I mean i spent some time there in the service and it was the worst years of my life. I eventually moved to Norfolk and things got much better. Let’s not pretend like California is a desirable place to live much less pay taxes!

I know you're kind of dug in on this idea, but as for why Basilio (and others) have sat on that information...well, not all dirty laundry needs to be aired out.

There wasn't a whole lot to gain by shedding light on this idea until it was necessary, especially for a guy like Basilio who is rather ostracized from the UTAD but has a really good relationship with CTV and has him on his show regularly. If he wants to maintain that relationship with the one coach willing to give him the time of day, it isn't wise to publicly pull back the curtain just for the sake of breaking news.

And I say this as an avid listener of Tony Basilio, but one who thinks he's also a self-absorbed, obnoxious twit. So, believe me when I say that this isn't me blindly shilling for him.

I love Tony B, but even he would admit that he can be obnoxious, and he definitely “gets out over his skis” at times.

The LV's put the most trophies in the case, but 5 SEC football Championships and a football NC happened in that 15 year span. Not to mention multiple SEC Championships in some of the other sports.

The problem wasn't '85 - '00 ; it was '05 forward. During that period, there wasn't much success outside of Bruce and the LV's.

The only people who think Heupel is the "best coach we've ever had" are the ones who became fans between 2009-2020... I have a great appreciation for what Josh has done, but I was born in the Majors era and saw the glory of the Fulmer years
