Where is it located at within the stadium.

Can't find any info on UT Tix about the specific section, just wanting to know before I order my tickets.

Something I learned about Williams-Brice a few years ago . . . be aware that if you are in the upper rows of the upper deck in the back of the endzone, the slope of the upper deck is such that you can't see the entire endzone below you. Any pass to the back half of the endzone means you have to wait for a crowd reaction to know what happened.

I have also sat in the UT section seats on the 50-yard line, upper level, on the visitor bench sides. In 2008, we sat beside the UT band on the lower level. By my count there are at least three different visitor sections in Williams-Brice.

Every trip I have ever had to Williams-Brice there have been tons of tickets available. Their upper deck (especially higher up) is a long way away from the field and I personally wouldn't buy upper deck seats there if I knew about it ahead of time.

It's also easy to get in and out of town.
Very true. Of the large stadiums in the SEC, it's probably the easiest to get to and from even if there's traffic. Also, the upside to having the stadium out in the middle of the fairgrounds is that even if you have to park a long way away, it's easy to walk around because it's so flat.

Williams-Brice is owned by the state and not USC. It is located at the desolate State Fairgrounds about 2 miles from the USC campus and downtown Columbia. The first time I went there was in 1994 when we lost 24-23. They filmed portions of the 1993 movie "The Program" at halftime.

The area around the stadium has zero ambience, but the stadium itself isn't bad.

This.

I enjoyed the stadium, even from the crappy UT section. I had no view problems, either. Fans were the nicest of any SEC venue I've been to (and I've been to all but Arkansas and LSU).

this is true. in 1998 I bought at face value tickets on 50 yard line 25 rows up in lower level on the Carolina side.. were awesome seats to watch Tee set completion record

Dad went to that game but I didn't make it. I have been at every USC away game since 2000, even the 2008 debacle of all debacles.

That was the first game my 6 yr old at the time son ever went to. In the middle of the 3rd quarter he had the entire section laughing when he loudly asked, "Why are you making me pull for these guys?"

The fans are usually nice. Watch out for some rednecks if USC wins. On a tragic note: I had a gentleman have a heart attack and die just down the row from me. Was the year Tanneyhill beat us. FYI: I have always stayed at the Holiday Inn up from the stadium. It is a pretty long walk (probably a similar distance as walking from Tyson Park to Neyland) , but there are several bars and restaurants along the way.

I'll most likely be setting up a tailgate if anyone is interested in joining in.

Try sitting in the student section. My buddy goes to school there and he got me a student id. I got in and i was the only one with a tennessee jersey in their student section. I wasn't very comfortable to say the least. Quite the experience.People threw change at me. Threatened to death, etc. They asked me if I was a student there and I said yes check out my id. U should have seen the look on there faces. I was a traitor to them. lol Bye the way I was never a student there.

I agree with an earlier poster that they have the nicest fans of any SEC stadium I've been to.

In '08 I was up in the upper deck endzone. I'm going to be in section 509 this time around.

for the games i shot last year visitors were up top on the section opposite the press box and usually 15-19 with the band down there in 15 or 16.

Well, right now it says sideline upper deck.

What options do I have?

My fiance works with a guy who is a fan of the cock (even though he went to Milligan, how does that happen?), he's going to the game, maybe check with him about getting 2 extra tickets?

I loved my trip to USC. The bar scene was awesome. I had a tailgate before the game right outside of the stadium, and it was fantastic. And I thought their stadium was pretty good. We were upper deck probably around the 30 yd line. I thought their fans were great.

small world. I wasn't there, but my mom & dad must have been sitting very close to you in 92 at SC game. I seem to remember they said one of my dad's friends (a doctor) tried to help the man, but it was to no avail.

Warning: Billy Brice is a dump.

Second this, but I've always had a good experience there.

Watch out if the Coots win this year, though. In SC, they have already claimed a preseason SECE championship and the moral high ground on the Vols.

They want blood after last year's Halloween beat down.

Well, here's what I think. I have sat in those sideline uppers twice, once for a noonish kick off and another for a night game. For the day game it was not that bad, but the lighting is weird at the stadium and I just don't think you can see the action very well from twenty or so rows up at night.

At halftime, me and a buddy milled around until we found two empties in the lower deck.

An alternative that I have done once is to buy the cheapest ticket possible and stand in the spiral stairs at the corners. The view is suprisingly good, but you have to stand the whole time. PM me if you want more info. I know the stadium not as well as Neyland, but pretty good nonetheless.
