Visitors at Williams Bryce stadium vs SC

Hey guys planning to watch the vols at Williams Brice stadium versus South Carolina this year do you all know what section the UT fans are placed in I have some sort of an idea but I’d like to know for sure thanks

When my son was playing at UT, USC put us UT football parents in lower section, near the end zone, ok seats but not the best.
When my VFL was a preteen and USC was close to us and we got tickets in upper deck around the 20 and they were good seats to see the game.

I do enjoy having a back on the bleachers in uppers though!

It’s about A LOT more than backs on bleachers, trust me. Factor in the city, the campus, the parking, the tailgating, the local restaurants, the hotels, the game atmosphere, the amenities in the stadiums, the way visitors are treated, etc. A lot goes into a college football experience in the SEC and SC is near the bottom.

Remember the comeback game when Dobbs lead the way? That game was just awesome! Sorry, off topic, but it triggered a memory.

I was there, super cold, coldest I have been in South Carolina in 20 years. S.C. fans were so pissed off at losing, it was fun.

Oddly enough, there were gloves laying around all over the place. SC fans were throwing them down in frustration.

I second the atmosphere, more like a football game breaks out in the middle of the state fairgrounds. Nothing around the stadium, bring your own party supplies. I have been to W.B. with an S.C. fan and a Clemson fan. Never felt like it was a hostile crowd.

I’ve done 13 SEC stadiums to watch the Vols play and LSU this year will be my 14th, SC is near the bottom if not the bottom. A dump in my opinion.
I wouldn't call it an out and out dump, but I get what you're saying. It's actually OK on the inside as long as you're not in the endzone upper deck. More than anything, it's just non-descript and lacks atmosphere outside since it's nowhere near campus or really even much decent retail activity. They have improved tailgating around the stadium in recent years and it's generally an easy stadium area to drive away from. Also, the chairbacks on the bleachers in a lot of areas are a nice perk.

Yep. 2 touch-downs in 2 minutes, plus back-to-back sacks in overtime (basically putting them out of field-goal range). -- Best part was sending Spurrier out to pasture for a second time!

I have been to 3 or 4 games there. Always sat in upper deck on sideline of Vols side. Views are good there. Parking is good on fairgrounds. I would beware of parking in neighborhoods around fairgrounds as I know a couple of people that had cars broken into.

Yes pregame does suck for sure. Also Columbia can’t sniff Knoxville.

It was so cold. I think 40 was shut down at some point for snow too.

I was there. The game was on Nov 1st and it had actually showed around Columbia the night before. I had never seen snow this far south prior to about mid-December . . . much less October!?

I was there, too. I am very cold bloode...er, natured, and I was freezing. It was down to 39 toward the 2:00 minute mark left in the game. It might have been 39, but it felt like 19.

I’ve always wanted to see the “sandstorm” in person, it looks like it would be really cool.

Then watch us beat the ever-loving piss out of them of course.
Their sandstorm gig is one of the coolest in football I must admit....however it is quickly offset by the annoying cock crowing every minute that you're there over the sound system.

Eh. Kinda cheesy.

We sat in lower deck in the corner of the end zone in 2016.

If you've ever visited SC in the Summer it is very hot and humid. From a topography standpoint, Columbia sits in a bowl of sorts so there isn't much of a breeze.

My daughter attended undergrad there and we used to live there. We attended several games there in the Summer and whatever little bit of cold weather they have had.

They call it the "Screendoor to Hell" for a reason.
