Been going to games for 75 years and at the 91 Sugar Bowl they were the biggest group of Fooking Aholes we have ever played. As mentioned their ragtime band insulted Elvis, New Orleans, the Sugar Bowl , Tennessee and any other group they could think of..

How bad were they? The Chairman of the Sugar Bowl said in the Times-Picayune the next day they will NEVER be invited back.

And funny thing was I actually liked their team. George Welsh was the coach, he played at Navy and coached there before moving to UVA. Think he would have been one of the GOATS if he had coached at a big footballl school. They had a big RB and wr as I recall and of course as mentioned the immortal Derek Dooley.

we played a home and away against OSU in the 06 and 07 seasons. I was at both games. College game day was there too. we also played them in the 07 tournament and lost

I don't remember the year but we played them in Atlanta in the NCAA when they had 7'4" Ralf Sampson and we have a 6'8" center.

Played 5 times in football (4-1) last played in 2023.
Played 14 times in basketball (6-8) about to be 15.
Played 1 time in baseball (0-1).

Lady Vols basketball has played 17 times (14-3)
Lady Vols softball has played 15 times (12-3)

Dawn Staley's Virginia teams had them as serious rivals for the Lady Vols for a bit. Pat refused to give birth in the state of Virginia during a recruiting visit.

Holy **** I forgot about that. I remember watching that game. Talk about a rock fight. That was horrendous
