For those of you, (if there are any left after Appy St)) that think VT is a push over, think again. They were 2 overtime losses shy of being a 9-4 team last year, and very well may beat us this weekend.

I sure hope not. Let's all hope we win in an impressive fashion, and impress the nation watching Saturday Night.

Horseshoes and hand grenades.

We had close loses last season too. But, they are exactly that, close LOSES ...LAST SEASON.

Here's to hoping for a great physical game, with plenty of excitement and NO MAJOR INJURIES to either team!

VT will be tough if we don't open things up. If we come out and play conservative football, we will lose this ball game. CJF will roll the dice and will score some points. He is a gambler and a good coach.

And we were 17 points away from being undefeated. What's your point?

I'm praying not to see the "bludgeon offense" as one poster called it.
I believe it goes something like..
Hurd, Hurd, Hurd, Hurd, Kamara, Hurd, Hurd, Hurd,
and finally a Dobbs run when we really need to score some points.

Tennessee better be ready. VT will be gunning for UT in this game. Fuente will not hold anything back. It is his first year and he is looking for a statement win against a ranked SEC opponent. I really hope Butch has everyone ready to play.

Seriously. If you look at their season that way, you can say that we were a handful of plays away from being undefeated.

From the look of it they had no defense at all....And there in the acc with a 7 win team...c'mon man. If i had 5 $100 bills id be $500 richer!

And we were 17 pts from being unbeaten and in the playoff. The point spread on VT's loss to NC State was 15 in itself. We are a far superior team talent wise, all we have to do is execute and not shoot ourselves in the foot and we should be beat them handily. However, with that said, those are our achilles heels and it all depends on which team shows up and how bad they want it, because if UT's performance is on par with the App St game, you can chalk one up in the L column regardless of 2015 comparisons.

Unlike you, we don't really know what we have right now. But one thing for sure is this Hokie team is not last year's. Thank god! Beamer did things right, but his time was up. Might take a while to get this new stuff down, but we'll be competitive and might even give you more than you want Saturday. All we can do is play hard and try to create some breaks. I think that is the real key for you, don't give us anything.

The fact is, with the talent we have...VT SHOULD be a pushover. If they aren't. We got problems.
