"Be it, you know, an opponent or in the two minute situations. That's something that we work throughout the year".
.
They don't realize it, but it will be a two minute situation the ENTIRE game.

.
His best hope is the first game kinks that always need worked out will include Milton being off and overthrowing everyone.

What the Virginia D cord does not understand is that most teams 2 minute offense is still slower than we go all game.

I expect this game to be like Vandy last year; by the late 3rd quarter I expect us to be ripping off 35-50 yard runs as the defense gets tired and we put in fresh legs on offense.

Honestly, I’m concerned a bit about this game for a few reasons:
1) Always the potential for the Vols to come out flat in the opener. Lotta sunshine being pumped over the past few weeks
2) UVA will be inspired and selling out due to the players they had killed last year. I’ve read several articles, in particular about their RB, that suggest they’ll be emotionally charged. Vols cannot let up and must withstand all that
3) Elliott will have something to prove against UT and you can bet he and Swinney have communicated over the summer regarding game planning the Vols. I am as ecstatic about the Orange Bowl win as anyone, but you know it didn’t go according to their defensive plan and I’m sure Swinney has figured out how to correct it. Now, whether or not UVA has the Jimmies and Joes remains to be seen- it’s just that the potential is there, IMO.

Even if the O struggles a bit (which is possible) I don't see Virginia scoring more than 14 -17 points.

New QB
New OL
All 4 WR are new.

they simply don’t have the Jimmie’s and joes. And why would the Vols be flat? I mean you can listen to the guy on that interview and tell he doesn’t understand that UVA tempo is not the same as UT tempo. Check back in the 3rd qtr and see if he feels the same way Lol

Legitimately, though Virginia doesn't have the horses, their DC has had 8 months to prepare for this game. And since they have nothing to lose (to expectations) he can gamble and do crazy stuff just to be unpredictable, present false reads, break off of coverage to jump routes...

I expect us to win, but don't discount UVA's potential to make it look very ugly, simply because they have nothing to lose.
