I guess LG is cheering on the black mobs beating up innocent white people in the UK right now. I mean they are justified....right? Obviously since a black man was shot by police the intelligent thing to do would be for mobs of black people to act like rabid animals and attack any and everything. That's obviously a rational response.

I remember the two white kids that got murdered in Knoxville and I was angry. No need in stupid **** like that.

You don't get it. LG does. I don't care if you are a young black male, you obviously don't and can't understand this issue as much as middle-aged white male lawyer living in the outskirts of Orlando. You just possibly can't. That's why LG continually needs to educate all of us on the blatant racism that every single white Christian Republican in America exhibits whether they realize it or not. Truly, in this post, I am trying to keep you down subconciously without even realizing it.

I know racism exists from all races to all races. We all have our idiots. But I'm like you in that I'd rather figure out a way to rise above it and stop the idiots instead of painting them as the norm when something happens.

The point of the thread was that there are still such acts of violence going on out there and of course this one occurring in Mississippi, with its history on the subject, makes it hit home harder.

It is one thing for Grizz to have to overcome stereotyping, say, in the workplace, whether its because he chooses to ignore it or because he confronts it and simply beats it.

It is quite another to be randomly attacked, brutalized, and run over until dead because a group (not one -- a group) of idiots get drunk and decide to go find a black man to beat up and kill.

What gets me is when I see the likes of sjt, or NEOCON, basically saying black people should just "get over it," and being dismissive of how pervasive it still is. This kind of incident is a stark reminder that there are still plenty of white people who aren't "over it" and we shouldn't pretend its not there because its hard to deal with or resolve.

Anything that mankind can cling to that creates a division will always be a cause for violence.

That isn't a justification for their actions. They are sickening. But, LG, to think you can "instutionalize" or weed out ignorance, intolerance and hate based on what naturally and culturally separates us is ignorant. Human nature will not change. It will morph in some, but will never change across the board.

There is blatant ignorance/intolerance and the violence it spawns everywhere in the United States and the world for that matter and there always will be.

When have I ever even hinted black people should get over it. My grandfather who was black got sent away to prison on trumped up charged because he was black. I have never ever hinted a black person should just deal with anything.

The problem I have is idiots like you who are white and dont probably have a single minority friend or fmaily member making race an issue in every single breath of life.

Facts are I see Grizz as a human being, equal to me, who just happens to be darker---like my wife is darker than me, like my kids are darker than me. I then paid to have my grandfather moved from a pen gravyard in moundsville to be laid next to my grandmother and be buried with honor and dignity.

So you call out SJT and Neocon (incorrectly) for essentially saying "let it go", and yet in your own words acknowledge that Grizz said basically the same thing with his "rise above it" statement or your interpretation of "choose to ignore it" but seem to have no problem with that. The fact that you don't even recognize the racial bias that exists in your own post just goes to show how one-sided you view this whole topic!
