Sports Card Collectors!
Anyone else collect cards? Been thinking about getting back in it a little more. Anyone ever send cards to be graded? I recently found a grading service based in Knoxville I'm thinking of giving a try. I've always held off due to the expense that most grading services charge and fear of...www.volnation.com

Who was if? I heard once Todd Helton got inducted that there was only one other player who played the SEC in the Baseball Hall of Fame.…Frank ThomasWas wondering if anybody else in here collected vintage baseball cards. I focus on T206’s, e95’s, but collect hall of fame players up through the 60’s as well.
Also, did you guys know a former Vol football and baseball player appears in the t206 set.
Yeah nice. I’m strictly graded for most part. 2-3 range mainly in tobacco era. 4-6 give or take in pre war. Then mainly 7-8’s in post war through 60’s but some exceptions have to be made.I collect mainly 60s and 70s. Have 64, 68, 69 sets. Have all sets from 70s. Currently working on 67 topps set. None are graded. Most are vg-ex.

Yes sir..big money if you have the right stuff. You could run over a 52 Mantle with a dump truck 100 times and have it half eaten by your dog and it would still fetch a pretty penny. My dad had a pretty big collection of cards from the 50's. He passed away nearly 15 years ago and the collection was essentially rotting in my mom's attic. As neither my kids or my sister's kids had much interest in them, we decided to part ways while we could still get something from them.
We used a combination of Ebay and an auction house. Many of the cards weren't in great shape, but by the end we had made about $10,000. He had a '53 Mantle that was literally ripped in half that we still got $350 for. Unfortunately no mint condition '52 Mantles!
I have the Lou Brock rookie card autographed.Thanks..was hoping to find some vintage guys in here. None of this new stuff. The older the better.View attachment 622142
Before I die I hope to finish out a complete set of '64 Topps. I might be the only peron on Earth who likes the design. Good times! Was wondering if anybody else in here collected vintage baseball cards. I focus on T206’s, e95’s, but collect hall of fame players up through the 60’s as well.
