Vinson or Willingham

Berry is a much better fit at SS. He's a better tackler than Hef. A SS will be asked to come up and stop the run a lot more than a FS. Your main complaint about Hef is tacking right? Than why the hell would you want a better tackler playing further off the ball in Berry?

McKenzie is more physical than Berry is and Berry is better at covering than McKenzie is so why not do that??

We haven't seen Vinson play cb and have barely seen Willingham. This can't be decide by reading there profiles. You actually have to watch them practice and play. It's easy to be a couch coach.

I had already seen recruiting video of Vinson and I recently watched the recruiting video of Willingham and they both looked very good? From what I saw and how Willingham covered and tackled he just looked more physical and aggressive. Vinson looked good too but I still give the advantage to Willingham. GO VOLS!!

Who do you all think should start. Personally at first I though Vinson because of his natural abilities but when I took a look at Willingham's backround I think maybe he is the better choice. He is big, fast and very physical which is exactly what we need. Hopefully these changes in the secondary will help us. What are all of your thoughts? GO VOLS!!!:)
Which ever one can tackle, thats who.

I like to call it "lack of common sense"

O.K. Brain child (therickbol + justigroves) what is your solution to the (pinky-gate) problem and the secondary??? Hef,Berry, and Willingham should start Rotate Vinson with McKenzie for long or short yardage situations. That should be enough COMMON SENSE for you or do you understand plain english ???

And, #31 does not get burnt every game. He is M. Johnson.

Better check that film again... I'm pretty sure most long passes that we have given up have been on Johnson. The first TD that SMU had on us was against him. I was at the game, and will not forget that one.

johnson didnt exactly get burnt. it was a busted coverage, so he was expecting help over the top.

McKenzie is no longer a DB. So I wouldn't put him back there at all.

Ainge gives UT a better chance to win with 9 fingers than Crompton with 10

well I thought about that, but every other play it seemed that they were playing man. I don't have any of the games on tape, so I can only go by what I remember, and that doesn't last very long.

If you notice I said rotate McKenzie and Vinson, not common enough for you ??
oh so you are saying that our corner with the most experience and who recieved the "most improved defensive player" award, Marsalous Johnson, won't see the field at all... genius.

I personally would have Berry,Vinson,Willingham and McKenzie in the back field.Rotate with Willingham and Vinson with Williams. McKenzie and Berry are speedy, headhunters.Chris Donald if healthy should start seeing time at linebacker,he also is speedy and a head hunter. Before anyone tries to get my head on a platter I also feel that Crompton should start this week and give the (pinky-gate) time to heal some. Also once healed Martin and Jones should see more p.t. these guys are game breakers or at least thats all I've heard from fall practices .

I think to play our young players in a so called easy game is good but must be situational. I would play both Db's.

you make sense. he is our #1 corner. go design alternate jerseys and let the big boys talk.

Berry is our #1 corner this year if you base it off of playing well, IMO. Johnson has been burned more than a hippie's bra so far this year in his coverage. As far as the big boy's talking, that statement holds about as much meaning to me as your time in detention this week.
