Vince Dooley discusses UGA/UT schedule change

Alabama moved, ESPN made a presentation, and it was voted against by the ADs. Didn't make the list of votes that was released to the media because of optics, but it 100% happened. I know three people that were in the room. After ESPN's presentation on their thoughts on the 9-game schedule, even Alabama's position changed, albeit over Saban's strong objection.

Given that it's the school presidents, and not the ADs, that make such a decision, I'm going to go ahead and guess you're not talking about the actual vote. It hasn't been moved upon since Judy Bonner did so 5 or 6 years ago.

I would be ok with playing Alabama once every 8 years. The way the schedule is now, we would likely have to beat
Alabama twice to win the SEC Championship.

9 game SEC schedule is the solution. No reason to drop cross-division rivals.

If anything, send USCe, Arky, Mizzou and aTm back to where they came from!
