Aside from the obvious, what exactly is The Bible going to cover. I don't have cable but I may catch it on Netflix at a later date if it sounds interesting.

Honestly not sure....I know that Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey, are the ones who are in charge of it....seems like the retelling of it with updated visual effects...

Jesus and stuff

Aside from the obvious....

I guess I was wondering if its going to be a historical breakdown of when/how biblical events did/could have taken place. Or if its going to be about when/how it was written.

Maybe I should just google it.

Edit: Just looked it up. It's a dramatization of the Bible. Now I'm not very interested.

Vikings appears to be a historical drama, as opposed to anything overtly informative. I'll still watch, as History's in-house non reality show stuff is always quality.

I'd settle for plagues of Egypt crap. that'd be a pretty decent movie. Or maybe we can finally get a Hollywood blockbuster horror film on Revelation. I'd watch the hell out of that.

Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, the male and his mate, this Aston Martin fitted with smoke screen, oil slick, rear bullet proof screen, wing machine guns, a passenger ejector seat, and try to bring it back in one piece, 007.

I like that they have focused on Abraham and his mental state so much.

But it's redundant. Kind of hard to make it interesting when a ton of people know so much.

Can't wait for Vikings.

I read a few days ago that The Vikings invaded The Ukraine and ended up settling there after they lost, which is why there is a significant number of blondes there.

I didn't know Vikings went east in some of their conquests...

Now we know where Q got all of his gadgets from.

I'm familiar with the song Sail but they made a tv show about a band or what is the deal?

Had been looking forward to watching The Bible for months, was really let down by it. On the other hand I really enjoyed Vikings.

I just watched the pilot of The Bible, and I was a bit disappointed. It's just such a huge undertaking, that I don't know how you could cram all the events into a miniseries. It felt disjointed, with a lot of important things left out. Also, I wasn't crazy about the artistic embellishments.
