Looks like someone either knows something we don't, or someone has dropped the ball at 247.

Look at his time line.

"Minnesota Vikings select Alvin Kamara with the No. 48 overall pick in the 2nd..." lol.

Or is this just their projection? Just curious as to why that's there.
Thats my projection everybody is having mock drafts.

The draft is still 3 weeks away just a projection. he will go from 26 to 36.

In the next three weeks, team's priorities can change. Wait until a day or two before the draft begins before you take much stock in projections. Right now, it is click bait for the bored and curious.

Pittsburgh was supposed to select Bray in the draft and even hinted to his dad that they would draft him, but Landry Jones was available and they selected him instead. Thus sending Bray to K.C.

In past NFL drafts, I listened to interviews from players. I hear many of them say. I am completely surprised that Cincinnati drafted me. They were one of the teams that completely ignored me during the combine and Pro Day at my college.
So, in order to keep other NFL executives confused, teams will ignore players that they are interested in and they will also talk about a player that they are NOT interested in. This keeps other NFL executives guessing on the other teams needs and plans.

This Kamara projection means nothing at all. I am willing to say that there is a 90% chance that he goes elsewhere.

Exactly. The draft is a funny thing. If you start to see teams make a run on that position earlier than expected, then it changes everything.

Nobody on VN that fits into that category.

I don't even trust 24/7 much anymore, they've become obsessed with putting as much content on their site as possible.

Some of the insider stuff is really good and for the most part very reliable info, but their constant social media click bait is annoying and takes away from their credibility with me.

Just in the past 21 hours Wes Rucker has essentially used the same interview answers from a very generic Tyler Byrd sound bite for 2 different stories 10 hours apart. Always one to get the most out of every empty story he's then posted both of them continuously on social media. Most recently he posted them back to back within the span of less than 2 hours on Facebook, picture below. Annoying to me.

For every good 24/7 story/post practice report there are probably 10 click bait 2 paragraph speculatory write ups full of open ended questions.

Exactly. The draft is a funny thing. If you start to see teams make a run on that position earlier than expected, then it changes everything.

I look at each team's people involved in the draft like 16 year old girls getting their Dad's to take them shopping at the mall. They walk in the door with a list of what they want from each store, but Daddy (or the salary cap) tells them what they can and cannot spend. They see an item (player) they didn't expect to be available, or what they wanted is gone.

And then there is the shifting opinion of players who rise or fall in the opinion of draft camps due to late breaking news. And often, even the player has no idea they are talking about it. Sometimes, it is false rumors. Happens every year, but some still think conjecture this far out means anything.

Extremely rare. If you are lucky and nobody trades up, you might guess the first two to five selections. Once the deals start, forget your projections. They got shot down in flames right then and there.

I appreciate the responses. :)

I did find it amusing, but I guess in retrospect it's just a dumb mistake.

I agree on 24/7 just trying to put out as many articles as possible. The only reason I go there anymore is just to check on recruiting rankings. I find they rarely bring original content anymore.

Shockingly, they've since removed that part of Kamara's time line lol.

It's honestly amusing that when Kamara was projected as a top 10 player people praised the writer. Now that 24/7 and ESPN are both projecting him in the 2nd they are jokes and just click bait.
Sorry but with the way RBs are valued in the NFL today, his injuries, and the lack of film on him, he was never going to be a first rounder let alone top 10.
I get it he's a UT guy and we should all hope for the best for him but realistically he's barely, if even one of the 5 best RBs in this draft. He's also not such a rare talent as many think. He doesn't have a strong build, and for the build he does have his 40 is average, certainly not jump way up boards speed.
Sadly Kelly made both Kamara and Hurd look lazy and when a third string college back can look just as good or better than a starter that doesn't bode well for the starters draft stock.
