Remember this game like yesterday. Will never forget after the game walking across the pedestrian bridge over Cumberland near Sophie's and looking down at the students celebrating - an "army" carrying the goal posts below. Every time I cross this bridge now I reflect on that glorious moment.

I still think this was the loudest game in Neyland ever. Even after the expansions.

No joke...I was there and still get chills thinking about that game...I helped pull down the north end zone goal post and remember a bunch of us walking it down to cumberland ave and having 3 police officers help us try to break it by bending it around a telephone pole :eek:lol: Oh the memories

I've bored my wife telling her about this game for 20 years, and actually got to the point where I wondered if I had glorified it more as time went on.

Watching that video, I had never exaggerated a single detail, and was astounded at how vividly I remembered the details! At the very end of the vid, I'm somewhere on the goalpost being taken down.

I lived a block from the World's Fair in a dump in Fort Sanders, and at 8:00 am the next morning you could still hear people partying on the strip.

You're fortunate to be able to see one sporting event like that in a lifetime - I've been to some good ones, but this is still at the top of the heap.
