Omg! If this is true I'm freaking out! Butch has got to get a handle on things. Wharton was a legacy and a player that was going to be huge for is in time. Butch needs to lose his arrogant attitude and make some concessions to keep these players happy. We didn't need to lose Hendrix or Scott and Damn sure don't need to lose Wharton or Jenkins.
This is starting to remind me of dools more or less running off assistants and saying if they don't want to be here don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
The one thing Butch has done well since he's been here is recruit and bring positive energy to the table. He Damn sure hasn't managed games well. He better get his players back in board

no. ...just, no.

Step away from the ledge. Whether they leave or not, it will be ok. You either stick it out and compete for your spot or transfer....Some choose to leave.

Here is what I just got from a very reliable source:

It's Ryan Jenkins and Cody Blanc that are considering transferring for more PT. Vic Wharton has only been asking the coaches where they think he stands with guys coming back healthy and guys like Vincent Perry coming in as a dangerous slot WR option.

The likelihood Wharton leaves is "maybe 20% chance". Blanc "75%" and Jenkins "90%".

Tifwiw but the Blanc/Jenkins transfer rumor makes much more sense.

Also there is ZERO truth to guys transferring because Butch or Azzani are tough coaches. The only person who that could be slightly true with was Helm. Everyone else just doesn't want to put the work in (Sawyers, Scott, Ferguson), or their ceiling just isn't going to be high enough to get meaningful PT no matter how hard they work (Blanc, Jenkins).

Good stuff right here!

Can someone post every recruit who has left our program from last year's recruiting class thus far as well as the "rumored" exits?

I am wondering how this will all play out...you see everyone bashes the Kitten and the Doolander for the mass attrition from the classes they brought in. Most even contribute it to the bottoming out of our program yet when this is happening now it is because "recruits are getting recruited over", " butch is too forthright with his language and treatment of the players" etc. To me, I do find all of these recent departures pretty alarming

It happens to all schools. You just don't hear or care to hear about it. If you were told two seldom used WR's and a 3rd string TE were leaving bama would you think it would effect their team for next season. Probably not...

Well, that is what the common fan thinks when these are mentioned on a ticker somewhere. --If this even happens. Not a big deal.

If you just want to worry do it on who the next OC will be.

Ferguson - home sick, thought he wasn't getting a fair shake at starting, didn't want to put work in

Scott - was hurt during a drill, complained about PT, refused to redshirt so the coaches played him just enough to try and keep him above water mentally, also somewhat homesick

Sawyers - lethargic mindset, didn't like being pushed, thinks McKenzie/Tuttle/Picou will cover him up on the depth chart

Helm - big fish in a bigger pond than he was used to, knew Wolf had him beat as our premier TE moving forward, used his sheltered childhood as reasoning to go to Duke

Carr - refused to play OT which was best for him and the team, was too soft for DT and too slow for DE

Jenkins/Blanc (rumor/possible transfer) - they're covered up severely on the depth chart when all WR are healthy

Am I missing anyone?

Payne - homesick, was getting owned all year in practice even by guys like Jonathon Johnson

Henderson - grades

Paulk - obvious

Lol, if anything this is the EXACT OPPOSITE of Dooley's philosophy. He DID make concessions for players and it bit him in the ass. It divided the team and made them lazy and uncaring. It took Butch nearly two years to undo that damage.

You can't help it if the get recruited over, if theywish to leave a replacement will follow.. How many times did Nick Saban get bashed for grey shirting and cutting players at alabama in his first 3-5 years.. It's part of championship football in this modern era.. The days of watching an Overstreet, or a Scott Wells blossom into All SEC caliber players are over.

Logic and 18 to 19 year old kids do not usually mix. You take a group of kids and most of these kids (no matter how mature beyond their years they are) are still immature as far as some things. They see players brought in with their recruiting class getting the spotlight, see the hype surrounding the new recruiting class coming in and they make some stupid, emotional decisions.

Logic/maturity and 24-60 years olds don't seem to mix either if VN is any indication. I'm not freaking out about any of this, but it is sad to see how quickly many in this crowd turn on these kids based on little more than rumor.

Did I miss something, I thought Sawyers was staying around.

Nobody cares. We're not Alabama. I don't care how they do things in that cesspool.

I teach at CPA and Vic was a wonderful student. Fantastic point gaurd. Vic Wharton and Craig Bradshaw were the best Gaurd tandem to ever come out of Tennessee. And won CPA there 1st State Championship.

SIAP (trying to catch up...)

What do you teach? Not English, I hope. "Gaurd" and "there"? smh

--I dont normally do this on spelling, but when someone claims to be a teacher, that's just awful.

...and Red Auerbach consistently tipped > 20% when dining out! Jones is MAYBE 15%. Nolan Ryan struck out more batters than any other pitcher in history and that SOB buys linens with only the highest thread count. I bet Jancek had a sleeping bag! Don't even get me started on how our coaching staff measures up against Abe Lincoln when taking about blitzing on third down.

These jerks are too conservative, people! The numbers don't lie.

(Bloo Phont)

What's wrong with a sleeping bag?
