If you followed him in high school it makes perfect sense.

I followed him as far as recruiting goes but I'm confused as to why you supposedly following him closer would have anything to do with him leaving now. Not trying to be mean or anything. Just wondering. Care to elaborate?

Look, this is called big boy program recruiting issues. That is a good thing. This means that we keep having big recruit commitments and they are over taking guys who just plain and simply are not as good as the new guys and won't get playing time. So these players will transfer else where. Some guys just don't live up to what they are suppose to.If your not having attrition your not getting good players, and your doing something wrong with your recruiting. This happened early in the fulmer years. This is what happens at bama, Ohio state, FSU, and any school that has top flight classes. This will happen every year. Sawyers won't get PT behind the big uglies coming. Wharton right now is the 5 best option and will become 6th best with preston committin. Think about it, north,Malone, pig,Pearson, and croom ahead of him, and now williams coming in. This is going to happen. The best thing to happen for UT would be azzani being promoted. Then they will without a doubt be east contenders next year.

Thank you.... And people really need to understand the "early years" part. It's tough but this was always going to happen the first couple of years or so.

TRUTH!

However don't expect the vast number of the 'how to run a program' experts in here to get it.. Unfortunately far to many in here are card carrying members of the 'holy sh!t, we're all gonna die' club and when they here news like this the freak out is on...

Not really. The point is, many people in the midstate area who know him, actually know him, have observed him and have dealt with him predicted that he would not last all 4 years at UT. Just giving information. And I'm telling you, how I saw him conduct himself on a basketball court before he committed to UT was borderline disturbing.

Sadly, this is true...

He changed schools a few times in HS. Always with some drama behind the change. Not saying it was always him it appeared his dad had a lot to do with it. But given this history I wouldn't be surprised if this rumor were true.

Oh ok got ya. I didn't know that was the case back in HS. Seems to make a little more sense now. Still sucks either way. I thought he could have contributed somewhat next year but I guess they saw the writing on the wall with the talent at WR we have and are bringing in.

This must be coming from LittleDTO, who started the Peterman transfer rumor thread.

Both seem legit.

Don't. Personally. Contact. Players. Unless you honestly know them. This is the type of crap that makes fanbases look stupid.

I teach at CPA and Vic was a wonderful student. Fantastic point gaurd. Vic Wharton and Craig Bradshaw were the best Gaurd tandem to ever come out of Tennessee. And won CPA there 1st State Championship.

I don't dispute that he was a great student and a very good point guard. He's a bright kid and a talented athlete.

Just commenting on his demeanor on the floor which was awful. One time shared what I saw with a couple of parents from Brentwood whose kids play AAU ball with my kid and they said they saw the same thing, several times from Vic over the course of a few games when he was at CPA and Indy. Just sharing information, especially for those who might be a little shocked that Vic would leave. He's not exactly the pristine All-American UT recruiting pied piper that most in Volnation thought him to be.

You may have a point. Drew Maddux did say the other day "he's the kid you absolutely hate to play against but you love to have him on your team". Said he had an unbelievable motor.
