Honest question here. Did any of these players leaving expect to be major players here at UT? If so, then the realization that it wasn't going to happen could be the problem. The competition here just 1-2 years ago wasn't that threatening. In just two classes it has gotten very competitive for minutes. What did they realize?????

I liked Vic as s player and wanted him and RG to succeed as much as anyone from living in Spring Hill, but he's been "asked" to leave one HS and from what I've read and heard it was much the same at Knox Catholic. Vic's "problem" is he's been recruited and whored out for 5 yrs and had things catered to him because of his talent.

About what I've heard as well.

If he transfers out then I wish him luck at his next school. But the way I look at it is he was never 100% Vol and if you don't want to be here then I don't want him here either. We will find his replacement that will GIVE HIS ALL FOR TENNESSEE. Next up!!!!

Some players aren't buy into the slogans from what I heard. Some players didn't really like the no depth, no talent excuses

Are you suggesting that he didn't coach and just kept proclaiming positive phrases and mind tricks? Is this really what we have come to as a fan base?

The only way I'll really be concerned is if players who earned their starting spots start to leave.....until then, it's just not tha big a deal. Everyone wants to start and get minutes....but not everyone can.

Apparently now hubbs and wes are saying the transfers are more PT related. I mean Sawyers will be behind the freshmen DTs and Wharton and Jenkins will be stuffed behind at least 6 WRs and may not have the patience to wait out and compete. Nature of the beast. All i know is I'm done speculating and would love some solid info.

With players coming back from injury and a few talented freshman coming in... Both will be buried on the depth chart anyway tbh. Hurts our depth there, but that's about it.

I guess the truth hurts. If you're down the bepth chart and don't like it then work harder to change it. Or if it's true transfer to a lesser program where you might not be considered a lesser tallent because almost everyone else there will be a lesser tallent.

Honestly that's what believe as well.

Yes, Vic's already gone.

Ok - you I will believe. If so, I wish them much success at their next stop and thank them for their service and effort while here. When you bring in 36 or so 4 and 5 stars in two recruiting classes - it can be a little daunting for the 3 stars to see all the playing time they want or expect. I see no problem here on either side. Like the earlier transfers to Duke and East Carolina - some of these kids are great - but not quite as great or gifted as others at their positions here and at places like Alabama. Makes perfect sense and I wish them success wherever they end up.

You also don't start as many freshmen as we did. These guys saw the writing on the wall early. Sometimes it takes until their 2nd or 3rd year to see it.

exactly, these guys all thought they would start from day one and that is not realistic. When you are 18 you can't always see that
