I'm not one to spread rumors or gossip, but I did hear from a walk-on's mother that a lot of the players and some coaches really hated CBJ. Heard this just before the bowl game. TIFWIW

I only use vn to crack jokes, and get some valid info. But a couple of my friends that are in still in school at UT said some players weren't really buying into the slogan pumping. I mostly thought they weren't wanting to buy into another coach. Tifwiw.

Not surprised too much about Vic. I witnessed some "character issues" his junior year at Independence while he was playing basketball. Know someone from CPA who didn't think too much of him and his father. Also know a couple people in Brentwood who predicted right after Vic committed that they'd be shocked if Vic actually stuck at UT all 4 years. Basically said there was no way that he would. Finally, my son is 2 years younger, knows Vic, as do some of his friends.....none of them have much of anything positive to say about Vic. Every time his name is brought up just says he's a prick and says he doesn't treat girls very well either. Just sayin'

If anyone follows TN high school football they will know he has a history of transferring. His dad was a big part of this in HS and I'm sure he still is in his ear. I hate it for the kid he is an athlete, but man have they made people mad along the way.

he plays SEC football and I never said every player does. Of course there are some wallflowers who like to go perform in front of 100k every week

As some of you know I come across inside info every now and then, all of it pertaining to UT Basketball. This person works for UT in the athletic department, and I don't want to specify where, but let's just say he deals with players VERY often. Anyway, like I said, the info is always basketball related, but this was such a big deal that the entire AD knows about it. My guy just clued me in.

Apparently Mike Bajakian and Coach Jones had an absolute blowout, irreconcilable argument and it had to do with player personnel. There was obvious tension and all the players knew about it, and even took sides. This has a lot to do with the current player attrition. It didn't just have to do with offensive personnel.

Bajakian approached Jones after the Iowa game to let him know that he would start looking for other jobs. Coach Jones stopped him mid-sentence, reached into his pocket and spaghetti falls out. Coach Jones tried to clean it with his jacket. It just smears everywhere. Coach Jones becomes so embarrassed that he runs out of the room crying. See, it is easy to make stuff up.
