I played college ball on the defensive side of the field. I used to go out early for practice and catch punts and kicks. Tried to run routes one day (played in the backfield in HS) and after the first “pitch and catch” I said “nope, no more of this”! Our QB wasn’t anything like Joe but, he had more heat than any QB I played with!
