(But of course one must point out that, if that were the test, we could justify invading pretty much anyone. Including, I might add, Luxembourg.)

Don't underestimate Luxembourg. They could sneak over to Germany and spring leaks in all those breweries and make people miserable.

I don't mind him being wrong so much as the deliberately foolish arguments he makes for being wrong. When he gets caught in one, he just ignores the reply and posts another deliberately foolish argument. That's nothing but a waste of time; no good comes from it. The man is smart enough to know better, but he does it anyway.

I understand but if the criteria for this joint was that you could never ignore a well-reasoned argument against your position, everyone would be on ignore.

Or words to that effect.

I will never understand the ignore feature. Kinda defeats the purpose of a message board (exchanging ideas with others).

The funny part is when your threaten with ignore or told that you are on ignore. That changes my outlook on life completely.

The world is full of ideas. Exchanging all of the worthy ones is just impossible to do, even without wasting time by engaging all of the nonsense. Being on this board is a questionable use of time as it is, without wallowing in bull****. I look at it like this; when I am doing something I should not be doing, then I am not doing something that I should be doing. Life is full of choices.

I don't want to put people here on ignore and miss some good posts; that is their decision. The only reason I mention it to them is because it's obvious they don't know how to act and need to be reminded. The sad part is that they still can't understand it, even after I explain it to them, which I am damned tired of doing. Honestly, when I see names on ignore, I just think they represent crap that I don't have look at or clean up.
