Last year in March, regular poster and dear friend Crusse posted in here that I was in ICU fighting for my life. I ended up losing my right leg and a toe on my left foot in the battle with v septic shock. Many members of VolNation sent up prayers and sent messages of encouragement. They were, and are, greatly appreciated.

This Saturday I will take the greatest leap of faith in my recovery and my new leg yet: I will be on field at halftime marching sousaphone with the Pride and alumni band. My doctors and physical therapy team have spent lots of time getting me physically and mentally ready for this. I'm excited,

So if you guys and gals could say one more prayer for me, that my leg doesn't fall off during a halt kick and that I don't weep like a baby on field when we finish the show with Amazing Grace, that would be awesome.

Goodnight, fellow VFLs. God Bless, and Go Vols!

Op:

So glad for your return. March your arse off and we will all be pulling for you. You better weep at the end. No shame in realizing how special a moment is.

Awesome job fighting to get back. Proud that you're a Vol!
