I hope this doesn't backfire on me and my attempts at negatively recruiting my sons from being bammer fans.

I pinch my four month old then yell roll tide in his face. He's gonna be really screwed up, but he'll sure hate the tide.

Ya have to love the Franklin comments. Did the man not try and sell Vonn Bell on OSU because he knew he could not get him to Vandy? If that is not negative recruiting toward Tennessee, I am not sure what is. :eek:lol:

If possible, and it's probably not, Shaka Franklins quotes make me despise him even more. Love how he says ..."I don’t necessarily think it’s negative recruiting when people do some research and find some facts. I don’t have any problem with that."... I ask, who's research and who's facts? That's him admitting that that's his way of negative recruiting. Not that it mattered cause it didnt, but God only knows what the punk told Von Bell

I like how the writer states he picked UGA over us, immediately after discussing a school that told him not to go to UGA. It insenuates us.

Butch was given an opportunity to make a statememt, and he made an excellent statement.

Negative recruiting happens everywhere.

Franklin made the best statement. You can point some things out that are considered negative but really they are not; such as academics, depth charts, location, etc. Issues like that are fair game IMO.

Franklins comments aren't sincere. He's full of "25 points". And again, seriously doubt that his "facts" about other teams, say UT, are on the up and up. Snakehead Franklin is a snakeoil salesman

Might be fair game, but still negative. I have a hard time with the whole academics issue from a recruiting standpoint. It really depends on how your major matches up with a given university's qualifications. If it's an ABET-accredited program within a SEC school, it's gonna be a good education. Just because the scholarship is more valuable (Vandy) doesn't make it better.

Sorry for the side note rant.

Article is complete BS - they all negatively recruit. The stakes are too high and recruiting is too important. The coaches will deny it because admitting it would be a bad PR move, but they all negatively recruit.
