Chaney doesn’t know better than the resident VN experts who discount the Oline struggles in order to take uninformed shots at JG
No one discounts the o line being bad..I'm sure Chaney fixed the O line and JG will be a dark horse Heisman contender by october..because you know..he was only being held back by the oline..

I feel like JG will be 50% better if Chaney corrected his tendencies to “hold his spot” at the back of his drop and he’s learned to “feel” backside pressure. He’s not the duel threat he was labeled but knowing he has a true freshman at LT I hope he’s prepared himself to step up in the pocket.

He knew he had a bad o line for the past 2 years..doubt a freshman on it is what's going to make him finally wake up and move..

That’s where I’m hoping Chaney makes the difference in his play.

I think BYU should be a good litmus test..cant take much from today's game...unless our boys cant run buck wild on em
I agree BYU will be the first real test but if today looks anything like Charlotte last year in the run game I think we may be in real trouble. We should be able to run/pass at will today to be competitive against teams like Florida

I heard one of the coaches say they were getting 1% better every day, so they should be at least 200% better.

For the first time since 1996, the Vols return their leading passer in Jarrett Guarantano, leading rusher in Ty Chandler and leading receiver in Marquez Callaway.

Tennessee returns 98.5 percent of its receiving and 86.5 percent of its rushing production.

Receiver Marquez Callaway comes into the season as the leading punt return specialist in the FBS, averaging 13.4 yards per return.

Linebacker Daniel Bituli is the 11th player to lead the Vols in tackles in consecutive seasons. He returns for his senior season this year.

Ty Chandler had two runs of 75-plus yards last year, the first Volunteer since 2006 to do so.

Yeah, OneVolNation mentioned D.Taylor's 8 sacks last season, but further, that is the SEC leader of players who are back from last season, and he had 11 tfls also.

Two SEC teams are tied for returning most starters (16), LSU and UT. I don't think that even includes special teams.

We return 5 OL who started at least 5 games last year. This does not include our best center, let alone two 5-star OTs.
