Lebron is the more complete player. He can do it all. Kobe is still one of the greatest players of all time but Lebron has the upper hand with the height and size.

Lebron is much better than Kobe.

That being said, comparing their career average numbers is unfair because Lebron averaged more minutes in his teenage days, and Kobe's old age is starting to bring his numbers down, too.

How is it LeBron's fault that Kobe wasn't nearly as good as LeBron when he was 18, 19, and 20?

I'd give Kobe top 15 all-time, but barring injury, LeBron will be a top 10 player when his career is over.

How is it Kobe's fault that the team he started with had somebody as good as Eddie Jones playing his position?

If Kobe had gone to a bottom feeder like Lebron, he likely would've started.

And Kobe really just wasn't that good a 18 considering he couldn't beat a 17/4/3 player like Jones. LeBron averaged 21/5/6 his rookie year. He was better at 18 than Kobe was at 18.

Look at the numbers when Kobe first became a starter when he was 20. He played every game and averaged 38 minutes per game in '99, and only averaged 20/5/4, still not as good as LeBron's rookie year.

In LeBron's 3rd year, he averaged 31/7/6, which blows Kobe's 3rd year out of the water.

I totally agree Lebron is better comparing year by year. If he had more minutes to develop, Kobe could have peaked earlier than he did. You also gotta remember Lebron was on a bad team with more shot opportunities. Lebron was taking 23 attempts in his 3rd year, while Kobe was only taking 16

Ignoring NBA titles, I think it comes down to who is more valuable to their respective team? I have no answer.

It was a joke that eddie jones was in front of Kobe.

That being said Lebron is a Physical beast.

Jordan and Kobe are a different era of players, just like Kobe and LeBron. Anyone who says otherwise isn't being fair to the evolution of the game IMO.
