Honestly, who cares how many commits we lose if Butch is fired? Does it look like they are getting coached up or developed here anyway? I'd rather lose a class (depending on the hire, I think we get a solid class) than lose another season to mediocre Butch Jones football.

if we can get a big named coach we can save a lot of the kids from transferring and salvage the recruiting class too. That's why I believe we should make the change now as opposed to letting butch stay on as a lame duck. And god forbid, we lost to bama but then win out. We cannot accept average. We need to part with butch and go big!!!

I agree 100%. Too many fans don't want him gone solely for the recruiting class we've put together so far. News flash: butch has consistenly pulled classes ranked as high as this one for 4 years, and the product shown during games is hideous.

He's a quitter.... transferring because he was moved to 2nd string..... but it's all Jones' fault that he's taking his ball on going home.

Maybe the problem is Butch has coddled these guys too much and they're just not tough enough

He's not playing...there are other guys in front of him. He is a redshirt Sophomore. I would transfer too...Not everything means the house is burning.

Now the divides aren't always enormous or extreme but adversity causes more division. Now I'm not excusing Butch, in fact quite the opposite. The coaching staff must create an environment where the team has strong team leaders and those leaders step up and keep this division from happening. This has been one of if not the biggest failure of this coach.

Amen I think last year was the only year they had dedicated captains for the entire season and from what I saw despite the injuries except the USCjr and Anchors Away debacle they played as well as they could.:cray:

It is not the same as Hurd. Hurd was in uniform when he quit during the game. Booulware announced it off the field.

That is how I am looking at it as well. No matter how much some people want it to be a part of a dark dank conspiracy against Butch, it could just be that the kid sees the writing on the wall and wants to transfer to a school where they will get a lot of playing time.

Either he's bad (cause Jack Jones looks good terrible) or the coaches don't see what we see. Jones is not looking good at all.
