Venzell Boulware transferring to Miami

Never bought into the Butch program and turned his back on the team! No excuse! Don't want him and any other player that cannot get on the Pruitt train. I hope we lose a few more players over the next several months, regardless of star rankings. That will tell me he is getting rid of the deadwood as I am sure there are a few more on this team!

I did briefly until I saw one too many shot gun formations on the goal line go terribly wrong...and I realized that there were only about 5 plays to run.

he did quit on the team halfway thru the season. You can blame Botch for some of that, but it was still his decision to leave early.

I think it’s ironic how a lot of posters on VN throw Hurd and now boulware under the table for “quitting” on their team when probably 99% percent of them have quit jobs, marriages, little league sports teams.

Give it a freakin rest with “quit” on their team because they quit on Lyle

Guess you’ve never played a sport in your life. You don’t play for the coach. You play for the school and your brothers beside you. I’ve played for coaches who weren’t ideal, and many others have to. It doesn’t mean you take your ball and go home. A lot of it has to do with how it’s done as well. I have no issue with a player leaving because the program doesn’t fit. Leaving in a pre Madonna fashion with an attitude like Hurd did is a different story.

The team had to compensate for the rest of the season...he quit on em. Didn’t benefit him one iota. In Hurd’s case, HE may have quit on Butch but the team already wanted HIM gone.

And your percentages are goofy. Only 1% of us have stuck with things? Tough world you live in.

A Winner never quits.

A Quitter never Wins.

New approach for many of todays kids...If at first you don't succeed...Quit.

Sad but true unfortunately.

VFL...GBO!!!

I'm sorry, I thought this thread was about Venzell Boulware. Are you a family member coming to his defense or something lol? Talk about reaching and a horrible comparison... players like VB are given and use a full-ride D1 scholarship, they receive a first class college education, nice room/ board, are fed very very well, receive stipends, excellent medical treatment, apparel, etc. It's not an entitlement, and they owe something back to the university in exchange. So, yes the ones the up and quit are indeed quitters.
