I have followed the betting line all week and seen the line go steadily downward to 14.5 at the present time.

Most of the time significant line movement like that means the public is heavily betting toward the underdog thus moving the line. With the solid 3-4pt movement after opening at 18 or so points I assumed that to be the case in this game.

However on a very small occasion you will see vegas gamble itself on a side thus trying to stay away from 50/50 bets. This is such a game. They won't more action on one side in this case.

Currently 65% of bets are on Auburn and yet the line has kept being moved down encouraging more action on the favorite.

One thing is certain I'd much rather be on the side of the casinos than the public so load up on the Vols!

16-13 type game.

I'd like to see the stat of actual $ on each side but can't find.

You have any idea where to access that info?

Pretty sure none of the books release that info. But generally, if an overwhelming majority of public is putting bets on one side but the line keeps going down in favor of the other side, sharps are most likely causing it.

Some got Tn +19.5 when the line 1st went out. If they can get Auburn -13.5 or 14.5 lots will take that bet also and hope to middle it and win both bets. I'm expecting us to play well but Auburn hasn't lost B2B regular season games since 2015 season I believe and they win by 29 after those losses. They took a physical pounding last week though and are playing their 6th week in a row at 11:00 a.m. If we can somehow get off to a decent start I believe we've got a punchers chance. Gotta stop the turnovers and negative yard plays. There are several veterans that are playing well, a couple of dynamic Fr that improve every week and a QB who many in the know are starting to notice his improved play. CJP is a winner, he doesn't accept failure and I believe the players are buying in. I'm not a big gambler anymore so I'm sticking with my heart, best bet is to take the Vols straight up and enjoy the rewards should we pull off the huge upset!

vegas insider

51% of bets on Tennessee. The accuracy of that is beyond me but I'd say it's in the ballpark. Not an overwhelming majority.

Sure they do. For instance, week 1 NFL, over 95% of bets were placed on the Ravens -7 against the Bills. House got cleaned out on that deal. Not sure where to get that info but I saw it tweeted out by Rovell. I use vegasinsider.com but I'm unsure how accurate that is, my guess would be pretty close.

Bruin was wanting dollar figures. I’ve never seen dollar figures posted anywhere. Percentages only indicate the number of bets placed. not dollar amounts.

It is still 2 freaking TDs. “Sharps” aren’t betting Tenn to win.

WTS, anything is possible. That is why they call it gambling.

Who said the Sharps were betting on the Vols to win? I didn’t even say the sharps were putting money on the vols. But even if I did say that, all that would mean is the sharps think the Vols cover.

I think it is due to lack of confidence in Auburn and not due to confidence in us

Tennessee needs to scrap the middle school offense that they have been running in the first half of the first five games. Run and execute the second half offense that we saw vs. Georgia and let it all hang out. You have nothing to lose guys as everyone expects us to lose anyway. If you can't run the ball flare it out to ty, throw to the te, get the ball down field. Jarrett run the damn ball some and swing him out on the edge. You can make it a game with aubie if you put the pressure on them.

They thought Georgia would beat us by like 40. Hopefully this time we prove Vegas wrong again.

Vegas knows that a sleeping Auburn is 2 TD's better than a bunch of softies any day of the week
But I think Vegas is wrong, the softies rise up and give Auburn a game today, but what do I know, I'm just hoping for an SEC win someday, any day

Yes, they know the vols will lose, but may keep it close. And vn will erupt with joy at yet another moral victory.

Seriously...Vegas knows how to make money

Are you suggesting the fans on VN might be excited about the team showing progress and actually doing what so many have wanted....looking like they know how to play football?

If the team looked prepared and excited, play some solid football and only lost by a small margin, wouldn't you be excited about that?

If that wouldn't make you happy to see, I at least hope you wouldn't sink so low as to ridicule those that do.

I'll be happy if we have any chance of winning late in the fourth quarter. Maybe we kick a field goal with three seconds left to win it.

The most exciting thing about these games are the posts afterwards about these minute moral victory improvements. I like to try and guess what they will be week to week. I have a feeling this week its going to be increased angular momentum of catchable balls which is a direct result of a bye week filled with high energy practice and fundamentals work.

Another thing you can count on as well. The trolls feeding on every single crumb dropped, with the same worn out schtick.

I've always been a fan of good trolls, they're clever, funny and overall entertaining. There used to be some talented resident trolls here, but they've all gotten bored and left. Now we're stuck with a bunch of lame beating the dead horse losers.

If you pay attention, they are easily spotted.
