Unlike Butch, Fleck actually built a program. Butch has simply taken over a solid foundation job after job until Tennessee. Sadly, he isn't capable of taking it to the next level.
Of the names on that list... that would be by far the stupidest hire. He was fired at LSU for basically being a slightly better version of Jones.
You mean the same LSU coach who had more players drafted to the NFL in one year than Butchs entire coaching career? I agree that Miles (like Butch) made bad coordinator hires but at least he did seem to get more out his talent.

If the Vols hire Chip Kelly, the rest of the SEC is in big trouble.
He has been very open about how much he hates all the crap that goes along with being a college Head Coach.
What?? This was from earlier this year.
"The San Francisco 49ers fired Kelly on Sunday after a 2-14 campaign. He told Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman on Tuesday that he would be open to returning to college football.
“I evaluate all jobs individually,” he said. “I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
Asked why he hadn’t considered a college job before signing with San Francisco, he said the timing wasn’t right.
“I’ve never said I’m only looking at one thing,” Kelly said. “I will never leave my team when there are games left in the season, so I never looked at college because all those jobs are filled while NFL season is still going on.”
This is just him saying that he would coach a team of powder puff high school girls in Iceland if the price were right.
UT should call him tomorrow and offer him Jimbo Fisher money to coach the Vols.
