Through the first half of GA. Yes, I know we are down #17 but I, for one am MUCH happier with the play so far than last week. Our guys are still making a bunch of unforced errors for missed formation but at least I can see some FIGHT in guys.

I LOVE the pressure we are bringing on the QB and it is paying off with a number of plays where he was thinking about getting hit instead of getting rid of the ball.
I love the fact that we have only 1 sack so far and our o-line is protecting JG much better.
We are actually holding on to the ball this week.
We are beginning to HIT them - not as often as I would like and we are still learning to wrap up with whatever new contact rules are in place - but we are beginning to hit and tackle a bit more than before. They no longer run through us like swiss cheese.
We are getting beat by better players but unlike in the last few games, it feels like our team is at least on the field and fighting for a win.

For those of you sourpusses hyperventilating because we are losing, GA comes into this game (and will likely leave it) as ranked #2. What the hell did you expect by a team that won ZERO SEC games last year? Being honest, I knew we were going to lose this but I just wanted to see some improvement to give me hope for when we get to teams we SHOULD beat.

Now that JG has a pocket for a bit, I would like to see some improvement there. I see people griping about Helton's play calling, and you may be right, but I am guessing this last week's focus was on protecting the QB and giving him time. That is happening. Hopefully, they will actually get to practice some other plays going forward. I wouldnt expect much tho. Helton is likely going to just try to get them to execute vanilla stuff reliably and then use the few twists they have on later teams that we have a shot with, KY MS, SC, etc.

Dont know how the rest of the game goes but I am really glad to see that GA didnt blow our doors off in the first QTR. I still expect them to score 35-10 by the end.

Agree. We will get there . Takes time.

It’s a mirage. UGA has zero fear of losing this game and is going through the motions.

If you ever thought Georgia had anything other than a 99% chance of winning this game, you were fooling yourself.

I am just happy to see our OWN TEAM, not just "going through the motions"

Sadly, that is an improvement. But for now, against the #2 team, I will take it, in hopes that by the end of the season, we can get 2 or 3 SEC wins.

I agree TN looks better against Georgia, than they did FL. Offense is pitiful, but the score could easily be different in the 3rd quarter.

DRAMATIC improvement.
Let’s try not to forget we’re playing the # 2 team in the nation who would HAPPILY have run 35 points off by halftime, if they could have.
People have to understand, seeing improvement doesn't necessarily mean you look at your score, they should also look at the score of the opposing team.

You have lost your mind. I don't know what game you are watching but we have done nothing on offense and the defense is getting gashed. Missouri played this team much better defensively

Watching an 18 point game vs one of the best programs in college football. If these two teams had equal talent I could see us winning huge.

Big agreement. There is improvement with defense and special teams (inexplicable illegal formations excluded) all over the field.

The attitude has definitely improved. Impressed with their 2nd half effort.
