Vanilla, Really...... i dont understand the logical process of Limited Playbook, They do realize you can watch every game from last year on film, inculding a bowl game, that you can gameplay against us with. We have almost the entire roster back from a season ago. The we did not want to give them anything to look at is not an excuse.

limiting players i understand , no need to get anyone hurt, but down by 13 its time to pull out all stops.

i do however believe we will Rise from this an Bring it next week.

I dont buy the limiting players either. If that were the case why play guys like Dobbs, Hurd, Kamara, Wolf, Sutton the whole game? If you are going to limit the playing time then just dont play them guys past the second half. Which if this team was as prepared and hungry as they should have been, would have been the case. But it wasnt.

What we saw was a Tennessee team that got outcoached and outplayed on both sides of the ball for almost the entire game. Badly. This game shou,d have been close to out of hand by the middle of the 3rd and backups in. Instead we were holding our breath with all of our first team in to the last play. Teams that want to win championships dont limit their players or play vanilla. They bring their A+ game every time. Our whole team is going to have to improve significantly if they want to be in Atlanta.

Oh so one drive during regulation defines a whole game? Wow thats a new one. Yes App st outcoached our staff with the exception of maybe Shoop. The defense did a pretty good job in the second half.

AP State's offense was much more dynamic than ours. Misdirection and jet sweeps were killing us as well as zone blocking. You can tell every time Hurd is going to get the ball by where he lines up. During pass protection he always move forward about a foot.

It was the most important drive of the game. He let time expire, with his team driving, with a timeout in his pocket. That's coaching negligence of the highest order.

Apparently one game defines the season in some fans eyes

That was evident from last year too.

If it's a) true (it is, we were vanilla) and b) not expected to be repeated in the future (I expect we'll actually, you know, let Dobbs run the football in the future), then it's a perfectly valid "excuse" whether you like it or not.
