Vandy's Stackhouse ejected and escorted from court by police

He was justified in some way. The tech that they called on one of his players seemed completely unfounded. The guy tapped the top of his head after making a layup… seeming to indicate that he got hit in the head. Either way, it was a bogus tech. I honestly don’t blame Stackhouse for going berserk.

Yeah it’s not as if we haven’t seen Knight go off that that on several occasions.

Knight was protected, in spite of being a bigger a-hole than Stackhouse will ever be.

He punched a cop in Puerto Rico. Can’t go there without serving 6 months in jail.

Justified in behaving like that? He would have been justified in getting thrown out, but not for the need of actual restraint from potential physical contact with the referees. He was out of control in that situation.

There's fire, and then there's acting like trash.

This is the latter.

Meh, didn’t have a problem with it. I thought it was all a bit theatrical. They really needed a police officer to escort him? I’m not saying Stack was 100% in the right, but I think we have a tendency to think the latest thing is the worst thing until the next worst thing rolls around tomorrow. He lost his cool. Big whoop. I don’t think he was going to physically assault the ref. Good grief.

Well, let’s see what the school and SEC office thinks about it. If you think that is appropriate reactions by a head coach, then I don’t what to say. The officer was part of his own security (per other websites ) and had to physically push him away from the ref. No one thought Juwan Howard was going to hit an opposing coach either.

I don’t know if he actually did it because he never faced any legal action, but I remember a long time ago that he allegedly fired a rifle filled with buckshot into some people’s house because he was told that he was trespassing on their land while hunting. He was certifiably insane.

Nope. He was letting him know he got dunked on.
I don't see that head pat as anymore than a Jordan shrug or Curry nite-nite.

I'm not motivated to watch the whole game and see if Vandy got cooked at VCU. Past that, Stackhouse was fine until he started rolling up behind the ref and possibly spit on him but certainly was physically intimidating him.
