I don't mind Climer.  He tells the truth.  Some of us just don't like to hear it, unfortunately.

He was all UT's crotch in the mid '90's, especially during the '98 season.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not his personal schill or anytthing, but it's not like he's making the crap up.

KNS vs Tennessean... Hands down Tennessean. Tells it like it is, like it or not.
Vandy scares the willies out of me right now, kinda like a wounded bear, ready to pounce on anybody :devilsmoke:
I can't believe I just wrote this, but them there are tha facts. :twocents:

If you're a true Vol fan...hang on, here comes a paradigm...you almost have to hope that either Vandy or UK beat us. If they do, that might serve as the catalyst necessary to force major changes in the coaching staff, and put PF on the hot seat, wher he has belonged for at least the last five or six years.

Note the difference between being a "Vol fan", and a "Fulmer fan". I was a UT fan before Phil Fulmer, and...Lord willing...I'll still be a fan after he's gone.

Desperate times demand desperate acts. Sometimes, you have to mortgage the present to ensure the future.

When your ship has lost as many battles as the "USS Fulmer" has...it's time to find a new captain.

Somebody wake up the bosun...

Lexvol, I agree the KNS is in the UT football program's backpocket, not necessarily Phil's though (although there may be room)......with that said, Climer is a piece of crap.  Look at any article referring to UT football and it is consistently cynical...

I also don't mind if a writer is critical of the program, but when they are ALWAYS critical, there is an agenda.  I am sure Climer is a big fat liberal, always hiding under his journalistic license to spread a hidden agenda.

Name one thing that Climer said that is not true. Truth can be painful, can't it?

rockydoc, I am not saying what Climer vomits onto the Tennessean everyday is untrue. What I am saying is that he writes as though he is languishing in the pain and suffering of the Vol fan.

If you don't agree, I don't care.

Idiotic post. What does being "liberal" or "conservative" have to do with writing about UT football.

While I hate Climer with the best of them he is just a Vandy fan not a communist dictator.

Maybe it is personal, I don't know.  He does manage point every failure back into Fulmer's direction.  IMO Climer is usually right on the money.

He was on George Plaster's show before the season taking sides with Gallion and calling Fulmer a backstabber for what he did to CJM. I'll grant that alot of his criticism is right on, but in Climer's case it's about his hatred of Fulmer and not about objective journalism.

Vandy matches up good with UT, they have a future NFL qb and a good passing game.  UT's pass defense is occasionally suspect.

If Vandy scores more then 24 points I say we lose.  I just dont see this offense putting up more then 24 points.  Maybe with Clausen and Foster healthy, we can score more then we have all year.
