We had to pay 175x4 or $700 for 4 tickets yesterday. I think I MAYBE paid close to that for a FL game once.

What did you guys pay? I hope I wasn't the only idiot that paid what I did. But then again for your sake I hope I am.

700 for a college football game??? I wouldn't pay that to see the rebirth of Christ

Paid face value from the ticket office 2 wks ago. I considered waiting til the week of the game, but I'm really glad I didn't. Looked like a lot of vol fans were trying to scalp before the game.

we were offered yesterday was $125/piece. We enjoyed 3 games at the Mellow Mushroom near campus instead. We saw 400-500 people looking for tickets yesterday. I think the nice weather meant more people holding onto tickets.

I won't sell my tickets to a Vandy fan next year for a penny less than $1750 each. Only fair since a game at Neyland is 10x the experience.

We paid $60/ticket 6 weeks ago. But it was planned. I saw several people other that were frustrated with the prices.

Cheapest legit tickets I could find an hour before kickoff was endzone for 200 a piece. Went to opry hotel and watched the game. Little brother isnt worth that price.

I remember Several years ago Vanderbilt required UT fans who bought their tickets thru the Vandy ticket office to join the Commodore club for an extra hundred dollars. Talk about extortion! And of course the SEC office didn't have the gumption to do anything about it. Vandy is bush league thru & thru.

Paid 80/each. Caught a guy on Craigslist while we were eating lunch. Left immediately to go pick up the tix.

Why are tickets harder to get now than when we were good. I remember playing Auburn when they went undefeated (2004?) and getting tix for $10 each. UGA was always the toughest because they traveled well-- $75-$100 usually. UF was face or less. Vandy and UK were 0-$5. Now when I go peole are getting $100 for kickoff games against Western Kentucky. What has changed the last few years?

Because people still think they can scalp on the street for cheap and because games tend to "sell out" even though the stadium isn't even close to being filled.

There were probably 2,000-3,000 empty seats at the game yesterday.

Moral of the story: Buy the tickets for the games you want the day they go on sale. Unless we're playing an FCS team at home, it's becoming more and more likely that you'll get burned by a scalper.
