That looks great but when I imagine it with spots of Black & Gold scattered about then not so great. If it's a cold night this will be even harder to pull off. Save the checkerboard for Neyland where it has meaning.

With those Orange helmets maybe an Orange Out is the way to go.

This thing has taken on a life of its own. I don't see how it's NOT happening now.

If you say so but 10 days is a long time and VN if anything is very flexible.

Vandy will have their 10K in diehards there, the checkerboard will NOT look like it does in Neyland. Why take a chance to ruin something that's so unique to Neyland? To me if it's not 100% then it isn't worth doing.

When has Vandy ever had 10k of their own fans at a game?

This campaign started weeks ago and is everywhere. I see it across all social media pretty much every day now.
I don't see it changing now.

Then tear down the goalposts and throw them in the Cumberland river after beating Vanderbilt 55-20 or worse.

That'd be hilarious watching Vandys goalpost traveling east on I-40 strapped on top of an SUV, headed for the Gay St bridge.

Revisiting the Attendance Issue in 2021 - Anchor Of Gold

I’d venture to say that in total, there are maybe 10,000 loyal Vanderbilt fans in the Nashville area who would go to support the team regardless of performance

Here's a short when the Dawgs were there. Dawgs came in Red and it worked even with those pockets of B&G. Hard to get a checkerboard to look right.

That's brutal. Kinda has the same effect as those politicians who sign bills under the banner of some big phrase that sounds helpful to the people. Meanwhile they all know it's for another purpose altogether. VU gaslighting! 😂

We might loan them some of the Pride of the Southland members and checker their band as well.

I doubt it will hurt their feelings.
