Do Vandy Fan's really feel like they were cheated out of a win? I am kind of curious as to what their logic is behind it if they do feel like they got screwed..

The ones I know like to cover up the loss with comments such as "Vandy is in a better position than TN for the future" and the one that gets me so far is this, "After the whistle was blown all of the Vandy players stopped running". When you watch the video..there could have been an air horn blast and it would not have mattered. No vanderwilt players near Gordon. vandy will always be vandy...sore losers because they suck!

They did get cheated out of a win. (Thanks to their kicker)

If you goto a Vandy site - yes they believe they were. And they are arguing the penalty on the blocked field goal just as much as the OT controversy. They say the ball was clearly deflected off of #21, who ran into Palardy, because the trajectory changed 40 degrees.

One of my Vandy friends said we had to cheat to win.. Referring to the running into the kicker call, the obvious clip call, and the end call.. I thought the first 2 were right on the money.. They screwed the 3rd call up bad but in the end they did the right thing..

The thing about that I think mostly was the angle at which he came towards the kicker.. He dove into the kickers leg instead of coming across the kicker.. Very dangerous.. I thought his shin was going to break. The replay angles they had the other night were pretty awesome and I didn't see any sign that the ball touched him.. (The replay angles were the only good ones... the rest of the tv angles were horrible..)

IMHO they can only hope that we couldn't score in the first OT. And based upon our FG game they probably had a better shot than we would like to think.

Regardless. The Refs got it right in OT.

if the trajectory changed at all, it was because it bounced off the ground (like a crompton pass).

If you look at the video you can clearly see that the ball went under the defender.

Correct. If they are good coaches, the kid would have blocked the kick and not touched the kicker. Relects badly on the Vandy coaches.
