Vandy coach fires recruiting shot

We are simply reclaiming Nashville, and the rest of middle Tennessee, as Big Orange Country, just as it was always meant to be.

I've been here since '98. HS football all around this area is now on par with other areas of the southeast, or at least the talent gap has closed a little.
And UT has never had this much support or momentum in the area. Ever. And its been happening since day 1. Him leaning on local letterman and asking for help has paid off.
This area has every SEC school represented with all the transplants and local kids that go to all the various sec schools. Regular students here go to bama when they can't qualify for UT and come back bama fans. We sucked and there was always drama, so why would a 14 yr old be a fan.

This has been building like a tsunami since day 1.

There's a stockpile of bricks in Nashville, and they're all being layed #BrickByBrick in Knoxville... We call it the #i40Pipeline.

Hahaha #i40Pipeline...that's gold.

You're insane if you think that THIS is the most support UT has gotten ever in and around Nashville.

I've been here since '79 and I'd say we're still FAR AND AWAY below what used to be the norm. Before the Titans arrived, UT was THE attraction for major football in the STATE, not just mid-state.

We'll never get that audience back b/c they've moved on to the NFL (albeit the Titans have had an inferior product for a while now)...but you're OUT OF YOUR MIND if you think THIS is the most support UT has received in Middle TN.

Why VU? NFL released a report noting that every yr there are roughly 1,023,712 HS FB players,of which, only .03% will actually make the NFL!

salty

yes, but 4.7% (4/85, or roughly 150x the NFL number) go to overhyped programs and pass their girlfriends around like an XBOX controller for teammates to have a turn.

You are out of your mind if you think the HS football talent level has ever been this high and you are high if you think that our coaches have ever been in on so many kids and welcomed in so many schools. We've never had that presence here in the highschools as the talent wasn't high and we had to go elsewhere to get kids.

Someone should tweet this to that prick:

"Brick by brick...we will rise to the top, While you and your anchor...sink to the bottom."

Lol, "come play for us, because we aren't any good at football, and we won't help you get to the league, but we give you a great education."

I don't want in the argument. But I do know I've never seen talent like this pumping out of Nashville. The crazy thing is...I think this is just the beginning.
