Who exactly has Vandy beaten? A poor Ole Miss team that is absolutely terrible (and played Arky just as tough the week before), Army, Elon, and Uconn. And all those at home. They gave Georgia a scare after the Dawgs decided to stop playing and were thinking about playing in Jacksonville in 2 weeks. Arkansas has looked terrible on the road all year.
Remember 2008, all these closet Vandy fans came on this site and said the same things about Vanderbilt like they are heading in the right direction and Tennessee can't compete against Vandy. Then what does Tennessee do? They destroy them in Nashville with getting zero production from any of our qbs in our worse season in recent history.
Guys this Vandy team is the same ol Vandy. They play tough but don't win anything. No one cares about Vandy. No one will ever care about Vandy They play at a stadium that seats 30,000 and that is only filled when Tennessee or Bama play there.
Great point, fade. Vandy and Tennessee are starting 28 players a piece. That's an amazing statistic. Give me a break, the OP is clueless.
Hey mor*n ... here's the links I used to compute the statistics. As I said in the original post, I used the latest posted "Rivals" depth charts. The 28 players includes the special teams as I also stated in the original post but of course I'm assuming you can read dipsh!t.

What a great point you have. Now, here's something to factor into your brilliant comparison. Take the tops 3 or 4 players off of vandys team and tell me how they'll do. Then the comparison might mean something. As of right now, it means nothing and you're still clueless.

Forget it LawVol13. You can explain till your fingers turn blue and the screamers will still scream. And whine. What's your opinion if Maggit had played yesterday? I think he would have made a big difference in stopping Wilds.
"Youth Research" - this counts the number of years of experience each starter of every SEC team has. For example, if a player is a redshirt sophomore, he has 3 years experience. As you can clearly see, Tennessee is a lot younger than Vandy - not even close.
Tennessee
Offense: 27 years
Defense: 25 years
Vanderbilt
Offense: 34 years
Defense: 41 years

I'm still trying to figure out the 8 senior starters for the Vols? Zach Rogers and Taruen Poole on offense. Ben Martin, Malik, and Vereen on D? Has TN started 8 seniors at any point during the year? I didn't even know we had 8 seniors that contributed.

I keep hearing all this talk about how young the Tennessee football team is Pelosi !!! (ie BS !!!).
According to the most recent "Rivals" depth charts (including special teams) listed for both Vanderbilt and Tennessee; Vanderbilt starts 6 seniors, 10 juniors, 10 sophomores and 2 freshmen. Tennessee starts 8 seniors, 7 juniors, 9 sophomores and 4 freshmen.
So Vanderbilt is starting 16 seniors/juniors and 12 sophomores/freshmen. Tennessee is starting 15 seniors/juniors and 13 sophomores/freshmen virtually identical.
Gentlemen, while youth is a problem its not the biggest problem as many other teams have youthful players the problem is I hate to say is coaching.
The Vanderbilt coaches are getting an A+ effort out of their team every week and could have beaten both Georgia and Arkansas with just an ounce of luck. Tennessee, on the other hand, seems to be backing up. Furthermore, Ill bet the players Star Ranking comparisons between the teams will only exacerbate our coaching failures.
While I have appreciated Coach Dooleys intellect, charm, wit and honesty; Im now wavering on whether or not he has the right stuff to be a successful head coach in the SEC. Im wrong about many things and I certainly hope Im wrong about CDD but please lets stop all this excuse making and just say the jurys still out.

now consider Dooley has had 2 years to install his system while Franklin is in his first year and don't forget what the OP eluded to in his OP regarding the talent ratings of each teams players.

oh, a hypothetical... when all else fails, go all hypothetical on his a$$....
you lost. get over it and move on.
Now consider that the quarterback running the system is a true freshman, and consider that a vast portion of the defense are first year players as well. Stupid post.
