I noticed that too. I have hypothesized that VT has been on a downward trajectory since Michael Vick got drafted by the Falcons. The slide picked up speed when Frank Beamer retired. VT went into a nosedive after they lost to Butch Jones. Losing to Vandy is the fiery crash?Virginia Tech has been in a downward slide the last few years. Im not too surprised that they lost, but probably not by 24 points to Vandy.
They fell back a little bit after Vick was drafted but then they had some really nice seasons again from 2004-2011. Was never a national title contender, but a consistent top 20 and occasionally top 10 team.I noticed that too.
