I think it would be far more interesting for the Tennessee-Vandy game to actually mean something—maybe the winner gets a playoff spot and the loser is out? Would be more satisfying to beat the ‘Dores with those stakes on the line than just another game with little to no drama. Might actually make this a legit rivalry.

The more they talk the more fun it will be to watch them lose to pretty much every SEC team they play. They will likely have around 7 losses before the roll into Neyland.

IFFF they can upset South Carolina then they should be 5-0 headed to bama… it’s a buzz saw of a schedule from there though .

Vandy needs to stick to baseball when it comes to realistic national championships. Let's not get too carried away with these crazy ideas in football.

Don't know what they are smoking, but that's 4 losses right there. Vandy isn't sneaking up on Texas, Lsu, Auburn, and especially Bama! Bama- 42-20. Revenge.

Nope. The only acceptable record Vol fans should ever hope for regarding anything Vandie is a winless record at all times in all sports.

I never want Bubba to win ever, nor Vandie, but I'm betting Bubba is gonna make them pay BIG TIME for last year's debacle in Nashville.

Over a century ago, Vandy was THE rivalry. From 1892 through 1913, the Vols had a 0-10-1 record in their first 11 games against the ‘Dores. I have read that when UT finally beat them in 1914, classes were canceled the following Monday so that students could continue to celebrate!

This is a shining example of why history does not need to repeat itself. Why would we long for being in competitive games with them? If UT is back to knock-down-drag-out matches with Vandie it would be rock bottom all over again.
