Is Vandy legit? Did they go out and get a bunch of good players in the portal? They don’t recruit well that I’m aware of

Good coach, enough of a good roster with experience, difference make at QB, and most of all good team chemistry. They've improved.

As someone mentioned, South Carolina really isn't that good.

They are legit by Vandy standards. They'll get to a bowl game. But I don't think they are an SEC Contender or a playoff team. They've beaten an FCS team, a terrible VT team, and now a likely very overrated SC team. Their starting QB was knocked out of the game. I don't know that Vandy wouldn't still have won though. But SC had beaten the same terrible VT team and an FCS team so it's very possible they weren't nearly as good as their ranking.

They should be 5-0 heading into their game at Alabama. They win that one and especially the next week against LSU then we'll talk about them possibly being legit.

Pre Spurrier, that place would be empty before half all the time. They may reverting back to their old habits.

But of all the schools to make fun of attendance and game day atmosphere, the one who frequently has more visiting fans should likely STFU
