Can't believe Vandy shut us out like they did last year. Hopefully we have a big game. I'm not worried about us offensively, Towles will probably have his best game so far against a bad defense. But we need to play smart on defense and not give up dumb plays to whichever bad qb Vanderbilt decides to use. We really need to win big and proven the Uf game wasn't a fluke.
42-10 kentucky.
We might lose our last 6. Other than our out of conference game who is an easy game? We would have to beat UT or Ville to get 6, and I'm not confident in either away games.
How has Drew Barker looked? Havent watched UK this year or kept up with their off season too much.
I don't think he will see the field for at least a couple years. Maybe not for three years since Towles is a sophomore. Only way is unless for some crazy reason Towles has a meltdown or major injury. Barker is more important for his impact on recruiting. He was a highly rated hs prospect and helped pull a lot of other recruits to UK. He looked decent in practices and spring games, but certainly not good enough to be a sec qb at this moment.
He's a candidate for transferring sounds like to me.
Yeah he definitely does. At minimum he'll be a Junior when Towles graduates, so it'd be nice to keep him and work for a few years. He grew up a wildcat fan iirc, so we should be able to.
Not that any UT fan cares, or this is the place to talk about it, but we have made a huge turn around from last year and the Max Smith/Jalen Whitlow debacle.

They're trying to keep the redshirt on Barker this year if possible, but he came out of camp 3rd string behind Reece Phillips. He's one twisted ankle away from playing. I'm not terribly worried about a transfer just yet.
I hope UK wins in an extremely close game... Just so Vandy can lose and Kentucky can feel bad for almost getting beat by them.
